Sketch cover (Patreon)

 Hello. Days ago I have finished two sketch covers, all drawn with pigment liners and Copic markers.  First I did a color version using as refference the digital color pic I did in an earlier post. Then I had decided to do another version but in greyscale.
The process is the same on both pictures, so here we go:  I have a printed sheet of my drawingthat I drew it digitally, adjustedat the size of the comic cover. 

 Then I turned the sheet around to "paint" with a soft graphite pencil on the areas that are going to be inked, to make a kind of "copy". I did this process because it was impossible to use a light table since the cover had really dark printing on the reverse page. 

 After I painted the lineart area, I placed it on top of the cover adjusting it to line up with it. I only placed two pieces of stoch tape on top, not on the bottom because I needed to move the sheet to check the copy was in order. 

 And then I "ink"it with  a color pencil to trace t. 

 While I do this, I move the sheet each time to check if everything is ok and if there is a piece missing. 

You can see that it was transfered to the cover, pure magic!

I'm sorry I don't have more photos since I forgot to take them.

But the next step was really simple: I inked the lineart with priment liners and, when it was dry, I erased the graphite to have a clean lineart. And then I painted it with Copic markers. 

At the end I did a few touches with an Uni-posca Paint Marker pen, to give some glitter and starts.
