Just a quick update..after yesterdays patch all cc windows & doors are broken! I am crying into my keyboard right now over the fact that those university add-ons were only released a few days ago.


I'm hoping that sims 4 studio has some kind of batch update, so that the process won't be too painful. But its just a wait and see how quickly they update at this point.

Been keeping an eye on developments & it looks like sims 4 studio has figured out a batch fix for the windows. At least the rectangular ones. They are still testing for curves & odd shaped windows. But it is just a matter of waiting for them to finish their testing & update their software, so I can batch fix all my windows & doors. 🙌🏾

Oh lord... i cant even imagine how much work this will be for u - felix - peacemaker & every CC creator out there ... i am so devastated - because I cant play the game without ur CC ... I CANT ...

I am hoping for all that it's an easy fix. It seems that cc doors and windows work 'properly' but that the transparency is what's broken. Crossing fingers.

The windows are going to be fixed & re issued. This patch was not within my control.

I would leave all of the windows & doors in game, so that any builds that use cc won’t be window & doorless. When the files are fixed they will just replace the existing & all the builds will look correct again. If you remove them & save your game. They will lose the windows & doors you placed previously

What annoys me the most is that EA knows very well that nearly half of the content in the game is CC, yet they completely ignore the hard work that people put in and update the game disregarding it. Yes, it would be incredible job to support every single CC creator on the planet but if they would follow the Valve’s (game company) way they would contribute to tools like Sim4Studio so the guys over there wouldn’t have to scramble and try to fix things themselves. Knowing that this game is so heavily dependant on CC, they could release their own tool which would boost creators work even more. Look at Sims 3 world tool that they had. Yes, it was a nightmare to work with and didn’t work altogether at most of the times but they were going in the right direction. Sorry for the rant. Can’t wait for the next set of university doors and windows and stuff. I wish they would have that amazing swatches that you and Felix have as well but one can’t have everything ☺️

An official tool from EA would be amazing. There are so many items that I would love to make, but can't because sims 4 studio doesn't support them. I would love to be able to mke my own friezes, fences etc. But its just not possible. I think they also could still not claim responsibilty or liability for cc, even with the creation of such a tool for creators. I think cc helps to keep their audience captive on the game for longer periods of time, for sure

I don't know how, but I used your university windows yesterday and they kinda worked? I mean, it wasn't perfect but the small square window and one of the "regular" ones worked fine (which looked great on my build) and the bigger ones were kind of glitchy (only part of the window shows the wall). They look amazing and I cannot wait for the batch fix so they look perfect 🤞🏻

Yes it’s only half okay if the window happens to be close to the same size as the original one I cloned. Still hoping that the batch fix is at least out this month, but the sims 4 studio team work full time & fit this in around their regular work & family schedule.
