I'd like to make another early access comic, just like the one with Haruhi which some of you probabily have read. Rules are simple: I make a one chapter comic (around 30 pages or so, maybe more) and you can read it before anyone else. The previous mechanics involved selling to individuals, but now we are here on Patreon. Still, 1$ for the whole thing seems a bit low as a price. I need to come up with ideas, and I'd like to know what you think. I am pretty sure many people will just pledge and then just decline only to read it for free.

Remember that after the early access period (1 month) the comic will be available for everyone to read, free of charge.

You can charge them straight away many people do it so that they have to pay you at least once before seeing all your art it might be a god solution.

how do you do that? I see nothing like that in my options EDIT: found it. At least now people won't delete their pledges after joining. But this doesn't quite solve the issue with the sale. Still thank you very much for this info :)

I voted for the third option, since it seems the most fair to the most people.

Personally, I'd publish it straight to Patreon. In essence, Patreon lets people become your patron, and support you with money to pursue your arts. I know that people are only just giving $1, and it might make more sense to have higher tiers, but in my personal opinion, I've disliked Patreon exclusive stuff. I support people on Patreon so they can give their stuff away for the rest of the world to enjoy. So I vote for option 1.

I believe I have found a solution that should accomodate everyone's feelings :) Long time Patrons will be rewarded with a free copy, while newer patrons will simply pay the difference, because I'd like to set a minimum fee of 5$ (it takes 1-2 months of work to make this stuff after all). Patrons that won't buy it will still get early access here after a while. After all of that, there will be the normal public release.
