Behind the Scenes #28 (Patreon)

Suzumiya Haruhi no Omutsu. What to say, I enjoyed the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya back then and thought she was a perfect diaper waifu. The title is a pun as in Japanese it reads "Suzumuya Haruhi no yuutsu" and I swapped yuutsu (melancholy) with omutsu (diaper). I wrote a simple story and attempted my first early access comic, however I used a very lenghty and complicated paypal operation with individual sales. Basically a Patreon-like attempt but manual. It was... Oof.
I actually included an anti-piracy system so each copy sold was unique and had a code hidden inside :3 :3 :3
As far as I know no one was aware of this and I couldn't find any early leak, not publicly at least. So, good job to all the guys that bought it early for their honesty. I ditched this system as soon as I realized how difficult it was to manage.
In case you're curious, I had a friend make for me a custom software that let me change the hexadecimal value of black pixels only. Each customer had a different hexadecimal value on their comic pages so that I could eventually spot a possible leaker and avoid them in the future. I'm honestly very happy I had to take no action and all went well. I was the one who came up with the system: it would bypass metadata loss on further file compression when uploaded elsewhere. I tested it, it worked, but in the end it was all for nothing ^^'
