Behind the Scenes #11 (Patreon)

More trivia for WWCT.

The story is set around the early 90s.  A few details, some more subtle than others, give it away.

The diaper commercial you see in chapter one is a parody of an actual commercial (Pampers) from that time. You might still find it on youtube.

Sammy points out how she wishes ringtones were better, alluding to the fact that early ringtones were just annoying, loud beeping noises. 

Even their mobile phones are drawn like the ones that were available at that time. I literally slapped in an old NOKIA home screen in there X3

Furthermore, Kyle is playing final fantasy on his Playstation and a glimpse of it can be seen on chapter 3, page 25. The corner of the TV shows the UI for Final Fantasy IX battle screen, a tiny bit of the original PS disc cover can be seen on the right, resting on a grey block which is supposed the console itself. This one was pretty hard to spot.

You can also sort of spot the dual shock controller in Kyle's hands, sorry for the blurry image, had to zoom in.

It actually feels pretty good to have an official place where to post all of these, there are so many easter eggs and details I put into my comics I might have even missed a few >w<
