I have the habit of inserting lots of easter eggs in my comics and I guess that was a thing even back then.  There's a few of them in Soft & White, so here's a list with references:

Chapter 2 page 13, your classic Apple brand reference.

Chapter 3 page 8, your classic anime girl with a loaf of bread in her mouth, I got inspired specifically by the same scene in Evangelion.

Chapter 3 page 15, the background I used is a photo of my actual first date place. How romantic, right?

Chapter 4 page 14, that's when I bought a new, larger tablet with better resolution, you can tell the lines are a tad more precise.

Chapter 4 page 16, that's a Matrix reference, or at least that's where I got the line from. My English was much worse back then so I used references from other sources.

In chapter 4 page 21, you can see Hiro singing "Still Alive" from Portal, I was truly in love with that game and really liked the soundtrack, so much that I used to listen to it all the time.

I do love a good reference ever now in dad. I think Quentin Tarantino said it best in Sukiyaki Western Django. "I guess I'm just an Otaku at heart." Couldn't make much sense of the movie but that's always spoke true to me.
