This is the colored version of Lacey Shadows that was drawn by Zet13 that I commissioned of him.  It was a while ago when he was running  what was called a “Toon Commission sale”.  The premise of which is that  anyone wanting to commission him could only choose characters from  “western animations”, so anime, video games and live action was out.   And given how lengthy my own list of ideas was, I knew that I had  something in there that would fit the bill and here it was:  Lacey  Shadows from “The Modifyers”  or rather “The Modifuckers” as was  popularized by Zone-archives.

After the drawing was done, I did ask Zet to let me know which clothing  items were which becuase it was a little tricky to tell what was what in  the lineart.  And thanks to him, he sent me a version of the picture  where the items were labeled.
With a guide in mind, I went to coloring her immediately.  With this  picture I did a couple of experiments in terms of the coloring process,  namely with the clothes, underneath each clothing item I added a unique  shadow layer for that one item at a layer opacity level of 25% and  filled it with black.  This in turn gave it a transparent shadow  appearance but when combined with other shadow layers that had a similar  opacity setting it gave that look of shadow layering where things get  darker when shadows are laying on top of other shadows.

For the background, I had to refer to both the original and the  Zone-archives version for inspiration.  And admittedly I borrowed a  design from one of them.  1000 points to whoever can figure out which  scene.  But the idea is that I needed it to have that “fabulous” or  “swingin’ sixties” look to it and this was the best that could be done  given the abilities I have.

Anyway, everyone, hope you like this one.

Note:  All Characters depicted here are 18 years of age or older.
