Sup Jerks!

We're back with some more ATLA and we got some honest-to-goodness TEARBENDING but is it MANIPULATIVE OR EARNED!?!

Still in Omashu, we finally get to hang out with Bumi!

NOW, we think the actor did a great job, but the makeup and physicality of the character was just bizarre. Like there are dozens of established, super shredded rizz factory Indian Actors that could take the role, not this Regional Manager of a Sonic's Drive Thru who goes to Planet Fitness a handful of times a week!

That said, the weariness and exhaustion of a 100 years of war are way more apparent with Bumi this time around too!

And we get some REALLY interesting stuff with this show's version of Iroh! With the surprisingly powerful scene with the Earth-bender transporter, and the Lou-Teng stuff!

Is this a not yet full reformed Iroh? An Iroh that simultaneously changes and grows alongside Zuko, spurring growth into both of their own arcs simultaneously?

That's a very different approach to Iroh, but one we can respect given this show has some VERY different visions on how to handle it's characters and we're here for it!

Damn you, "Leaves on the Vine"!

I think you all might have misunderstood a couple of lines in the episode. Iroh wasnt ever sentenced to death. His son died and Iroh abandoned the siege of Ba Sing Se. He wasnt being put to death for that, people were just calling his son a hero for dying in service of the fire nation and were calling Iroh a coward for giving up. No worries! It's no big deal! I apologize if my correction comes off rude x.x
