Hey hey Patrons!

Listen, we're thankful to get some character work and now we got Sir Pentious in the house we're as jazzed as Vaggie and Charlie!

But, for us, however, it's about the EGG BOIS!

They're cute, they're spunky, and they can do spy shit for Alastor!

Now, we see some pretty obvious missteps with how we handle Angel and their sex work, but we ARE getting some real character work and we're here for it!

We love this American Gods boardroom too, but need a bit more fleshing out of the world for their story and songs to have the most impact!

Thanks so much for hanging out! ATLA drops later today! Super stoked! Yip yip!

ATLANTA is cool and all, but is FMAB still dropping?

I don't understand your view that if Hell is a bad place to live everyone in it should crave death. Just because someone's life sucks that shouldn't make them want to die.

damn I need episode 4 right now I'm too impatient for this shit😭😭

I do feel that many of the criticisms on the messaging of this episode are not exactly unfair here but are resolved with a greater understanding of the characters that comes later, which is why "how much trust do you have in the writing" is important. Although I have no idea where the assumption that the show is anti-furry is coming from.

I've heard you mention Harley Quinn a couple times and I think that works as a good comparison point for this show. Hazbin feels like an unrefined version of the Harley Quinn animated show. And I get where you are coming from with the Vaggie/Poison Ivy comparison, but I feel like that might be throwing you off a bit. In Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy tends to be more of the voice of reason. But in Hazbin, I feel like at this point the show has position Vaggie as the "downer" character. Vaggie is almost always telling everyone "No" and can be discouraging, even towards Charlie's enthusiasm. Like how she is constantly telling Charlie not to sing in the pilot. So, I wouldn't take anything Vaggie says as being essentially the voice of reason. Granted, what happens in this episode might be taken as an approval of her methods. But the BDSM is never really given a chance and Husk seems into it for a bit.

Right, it's the character's opinion not necessarily the show's opinion. Which is fine, they'll get through the show like everyone else does and learn more as they go, and it's not like there aren't plenty of flaws to pick at. I just get concerned that assuming superficial writing any time there's something that isn't immediately obvious (for example, the line in the song they were criticizing) creates a self-fulfilling prophecy.

No spoilers. I think y'all will love episode 4. Im bringing it up again passively but please watch Nimona. Its so up your alley

I've found your commentary fun and interesting, which has made the YouTube comments seem weird to me. I haven't encountered such a reactive fanbase before, it's kinda more fascinating than the show itself

for me it's that they're otherwise so desensitized to death, it makes how much emphasis is put on non-existence hard to parse. it's combining silly cartoon deaths and existential crisis in a weird way
