Hey hey Patrons!

We're back with a big ol' mystery to us but a lot of buzz around this Hazbin Hotel!

So just in full disclosure, we thought the pilot was a reporposed version of Episode 1 and didn't watch it first!

We rock the First episode, Dustin, CLEARLY having a good time, decides to sit the rest out as he REALLY doesn't like musicals!

But that's okay, cause were having a great time with this world, but got some notes on how the writing!

Really excited to see how this whole thing shapes up!

Follow this exclusive link to hang!

Also, this is the order in which we watchd them!

Again, sorry for the screw-up! We got Ep 2 dropping in a few days and we're off the races!  It's Sean and Mo for the rest of the run! Really stoked to see where this goes!

The show has its flaws but it's overall a lot of fun

Sleepy Hydra

Damn you all! I was supposed to be a one and done with Blue Eye Samurai. Now I must maintain my subscription!

I was wondering how they were going react to this lol. We'll see in a couple episodes if it takes. When the pilot aired it was essentially the creator, some freelancers, and her patreon that made it. So that is why there is no Keith David or Actors of note until A24 picks up the show a year later and i assume they foot the bill for the VAs. Also, not a spoiler but it should be noted that some of the characters had completely different occupations when they were alive that differ from what they do in hell.

James Long

You made some good points in the discussion. I'll be interested to see how you react as the show goes on. I think one of the biggest things that really has people enjoying the show are the characters and songs.

I haven't seen past ep 1 so I may be way off base, but it seemed to me that Heaven were being portrayed as enormous douchebags and set up as the main villains of the series, so it's surprising to me that you'd think the morality of Heaven was the meta-morality of the show.

Josef Beck

After watching the first episode with you I think the rules deciding who goes to hell is made by heaven. So your whole own morality like sexwork or gays in hell dosent matter at all. When heaven says you go to hell you go to hell, reagardless what opinions the viewer might have.

Rufus May

They definitely seem more like an authoritarian regime of powerful beings who put themselves in charge, not an infallible divine order.

Tim Chaos

I had been putting off watching this till now but I thought it was fun! Not entirely for me, but fun. Still, I am in LOVE with the art. The pilot especially was super dynamic and had some amazing character designs even for background characters. I wish I'd laughed at more of the jokes but hey I've sat through worse anime for good animation before lol. Lookin' forward to seeing more from this team!

Just when i had stopped, you pulled me back in. I hope a watch of the next couple of episodes changes your mind on this series. It really is a wonderful show

I was tapping out right before the first musical score. Then it drew me back in. The intro to this show was fantastic. As an old 38 year old I might get into this. I can feel the "edgy" writing though. Does that make sense?

Travis Lee

I feel like Hot Topic made this show (in a good way. I am just kidding around...and we all thought it)

While the show mostly follows the usual christian lore with some sprinkles of Dante's Inferno, it also has some specific things to it. For example, Heaven and Hell follow the same technological evolution as Earth, as the souls that go to each of these places bring with them their knowledge. Regarding the exterminations, as explained at the beginning, they're done to prevent Hell from getting too powerful. Demons are composed of some sort of dark energy, and when they're killed by an angelic weapon, their souls die, while their energy scatters in objects around them. So, if you see walls or pieces of furnitures with eyes, that means a demon was killed for good nearby. If a demon is "killed", or at least mortally wounded, by a non-angelic weapon, they just put themselves back together after some time. So while, sure, Hell has a lot of things that Sinners can enjoy, it still is a place of suffering and depravity. Sinners also often have to sell their souls to other demons to get something they need, thus binding them to that demon, whilst apparently Heaven doesn't have this kind of problem.
