Hope you're all well gang! We're back and we're looking for some guidance for the TOON TIER on what we need to watch!

Also, as it coincides with us wrapping we'll be doing

HAZBIN HOTEL

That'll be firing up in the next few days!

Very stoked to see what all the hubub is about!

But we have finished shooting FMAB and CowboyBeebop and we need some more shows!

So in the COMMENTS throw out your suggestions!

New or Old! We wanna see the conversation that they illicit and then from this post, we'll drop a new poll over the weekend and decide the next show we cover on our $5 TOON TIER!

Also, just because some does or doesn't win does not mean we won't cover it, we gotta take into consideration how long the show is or isn't etc. Same goes for shows that get voted highly, but this forum and the polls will give us some guidance on what people are saying and you being Patrons, you hold a lot of weight with us. So let us know!

Should we rock some Neon Genisis or The Boondocks?

Maybe take a gander of Vinland Saga or Gravity Falls?

Is there any show we're not considering?

LET US KNOW AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING A PART OF THIS WITH US!

xoxo,

The Watchers in the Bar

Rich

The Bear, ASAP as possible please

shmaimeee

vinland !!

Rich

Also Vinland Saga OF COURSE

Reina Garcia

Gravity falls is fire

Allan Jacob

Vinland Saga !!!! Both seasons Rock !!!

Ruben Torres

Gravity Falls is like a kid friendly Rick And Morty. Pretty great show, tbh. On the other hand, good excuse to do Vinland once and for all.

Azana Reed

Gravity Falls! I need to see Morgan react to herself in cartoon form (Mabel) lol

CedricQ

Evangelion hands down. I think Morgan would have a lot of thoughts about it.

Peter Shim

Vinland Saga - goated modern anime with great action and philosophical questions! Also Vikings! C’mon who can say no to Vikings lol

LJ

Steven universe!! It’s gay. It’s c*nt. And it’s traumatic af

Just Anime

You should watch Monster (in sub) , you will meet there the best villian in all of tv shows, ( I am not glazing believe me everyone who watched that, knows. This show is a hidden masterpiece.

Rando

Oh nice i am interested in your take on Hazbin Hotel. Did ya watch the pilot on Youtube too? As for show suggestions... Harley Quinn? Demon Slayer?

makotheQ60

DEMON SLAYER! Season 4 is about to come out. It's got some of the best OSTs you'll ever hear. It is the king of animation!! There's not a anime that tops it in terms of animation. The fights are fantastic. Lots of insane visuals!

Big Dog Jake

Vinland saga is great if you’re looking for something realistic with a serious vibe. Gravity Falls or Steven Universe for a fun yet sometimes dark theme. Both great choices and I can’t wait for more Bebop!

Asuka Grün

Vinland Saga!!!

Julia Barrera

Gravity Falls is great!! It is super funny and has great mysteries and twists, if you end up loving Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss by the same creator is amazing as well.

Enzo Inquiries

HxH for sure, pretty mature for a shonen, one of the best writing in the game (all hail togashi), fun characters, wild characters and fuckin cool concepts

Carlos De la Luz

Vinland saga or Gravity Falls would be amazing. Both are exactly your cups of tea. Vinland Saga has some of the best character writing in animation ever and is one of the most mature anime out there. One of my favorite protagonists ever, especially by the end of season 2. Gravity Falls is one of the funniest and most compelling kid shows ever made. It scratches that ATLA/Korra itch of surprisingly mature stories being told in a kid show. It also gets shockingly creepy and nails the emotional moments. You guys would love both shows for sure

Persnickity

Assuming it's a toon/anime I'd like to throw gen:Lock in the mix. But as a movie yall should SO DEFINITELY Watch Nimona. It's amazing and all of you will love it. Particularly Morgan because she is basically IRL Nimona in all the best ways

Lel

So many great shows but have to give my vote to Vinland Saga. This show changes you

Thicc Thanos

I vote Neon Genesis Netflix dub. It’s the same one Normies reacted to. Has to be the Netflix one because there is the original dub which is absolutely atrocious. I shit on a lot of dubs because lots of times they are terrible or don’t get the spirit of the character. But I vouch for this dub the same way I vouched for Cowboy Bebop dub. Everyone is firing on all cylinders here and it’s fantastic.

juan n n

watch Sk8 The Infinty its short and very fun. You can even watch the dub which is fantastic. But, for more views, you should watch My Hero Academia or frieren beyond journey's end.

Rando

I recommend it! Its lower budget then the main Amazon series of course and they change most of the voice cast for the main series but its a good introduction! I wanna say you can watch the whole pilot and won't get a strike on youtube too but i'm not entirely sure.

juan n n

If you need something affecting yet intelectual, you should watch Tengoku Daimakyo. its a fantastic show that deals with gender and transhumanism.

Lanie Williams

Since you guys are done with Cowboy Bebop it would be fitting to do the next Shinichiro Watanabe anime Samurai Champloo, also considering you are on the Blue Eye Samurai kick. If not.. Golden Kamuy or Odd Taxi.

Thicc Thanos

I’m voting for this because I feel like the bigger modern ones like Vinland are inevitable in a way(assuming you keep reacting to anime). It’s the same reason I was pushing for Bebop hard instead of a more current anime.

Charolette96

AMC‘s Interview with The Vampire! Wait, this is a toon tier poll 😕 Well Interview should be the next non-toon show.

T.wiley

Oh my god you guys would love Vinland saga

Jacob Jacobsen

Adding Fate/Zero for anime here like I do for every reaction channel 👍

Sean

Evangelion??? Gotta check that out, one of the best shows out there. Vinland Saga would be a great pick too. I would recommend sub for both.

Cody Messer

Honestly, I'd definitely recommend monster. It's a psychological mystery thriller that just oozes with the history of the place and period it's set in. Like the other person recommending it here in the comments, I think it's a genuine masterpiece. That being said, if that doesn't get enough traction I'd absolutely be interested in seeing something like Neon Genesis: Evangelion or Vinland Saga.

zWild

Hunter X Hunter or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. You guys would love both, they are super fun to react to!!

Sean

Respect to it, but I can't get behind the Netflix dub no matter how hard I try =\. I even prefer the original dub to Netflix, but prefer sub a hundred times over either.

zWild

Also, I'd suggest the one piece anime, but its got alot of episodes

Calvin Delaney

You guys would love Monster by Naomi Urasawa and its on Netflix

Ciaran Smith

Mob Psycho 100. would recommend Hunter X Hunter, but in a week by week format it's a LONG haul... but Mob Psycho has some of the craziest action and best comedy you'll ever seen in animation, and it's totally complete at a total of only 37 episodes.

James Long

With Hazbin, make sure to watch the pilot on Youtube first before going into the full series on Amazon. My suggestion for a future reaction is Naoki Urasawa's Monster on Netflix. One of the best anime of all time.

marco arellano

Vinland or Eva hands down two of the goats

Thicc Thanos

I think all the Netflix dub cast is amazing. They have range. They can do the big loud yelling/screaming moments while still being convincing and not crossing over into goofy territory. A lot of dubs suck at this. They can also do the quiet emotional scenes very well. Nobody is miscast or annoying(besides that character who is supposed to be at times). It’s really something you appreciate when you watch other versions and a teenager like Toji sounds like a 50yr old man. 😂 They don’t overact either which is a problem I have sometimes with other versions. I will agree the sub is better than the OG dub tho.

Peter Shim

absolutely Peakland Saga

VinnyAhhh

For a toon tier replacement I'm curious if y'all take a change of pace and do something chiller like Spy x Family or Bocchi the Rock. Bocchi especially as I think y'all will get a kick out of it and it's only one season so you'd be able to move on quickly.

Amit

Vinland !!!

Cedrick H.

Dororo, Samurai Champloo, Akame ga Kill

Switchbreak

Another vote for Samurai Champloo as the logical followup to Cowboy Bebop

Tenuous Pterodactyl

I would love to see y'all react to Samurai Champloo or Gravity Falls

DRedd

The Venture Bros. What starts out as a parody of Johnny Quest evolves into an in depth look at a world of super science, spy flicks, GI Joe, heroes and villains and all the other stuff we all grew up with, but with all the sheen scrubbed off. What it looks like in a world where this is someone's nine to five. Obviously a comedy, but with genuine heart, thorough world building, and razor sharp continuity. There's some early 2000s-isms in some of the earliest episodes, but overall the show is almost single handedly responsible for the state of serialized adult animation in the modern day. It is a work of love by the creators and it shows. It finally wrapped up after 20 years, seven seasons, and a movie last year. And no one talks about it.

John Cedar

Castlevania, Severance, or Killing Eve would all be great

Andres Lozano

Vinland Saga’s definitely worth seeing

breanna

I would love to see your guys reaction to hunter x hunter! A top tier anime, am absolute gem! I can only image how your reaction will be to a show like hxh with all it's characters and the story especially after you have watch avatar/currently watching jujutsu.

Darik kincaid

Castlevania, hunter x hunter would take a while but definitely worth it , and Vinland saga.

Vincent G

Jojo would be pretty entertaining to see you guys react to.

browser958

Castlevania on Netflix

itshawkguy

Castlevania for sure the seasons and episodes are short enough.

BeckettBaladas

Castlevania, Madoka Magica and Konosuba would be my first three suggestions

translucentmin

Frieren: Beyond Journeys End is really awesome, fantasy. Vinland Saga, more mature, very very good as well. Dororo, historical fantasyish. Very interesting and enjoyable.

Edgar

Vinland saga for sure

Vlad3163

Before S2 released I'd have been all for them watching Gen:Lock, but at this point? Better off watching anything else really.

Jonathan Gonzalez

So I saw a lot of good votes in these comments so I’m just gonna add to the votes for: Vinland Saga Hunter x Hunter Evangelion Monster Samurai Champloo Dororo And I’ve been curious about Hazbin Hotel so that will be fun to watch along with you guys.

Cameron

Vinland saga might pull y’all’s strings

Eddy Kubus

I came here to suggest hazbin hotel, but it looks like I don't have to lol

Persnickity

Eh probably right. I was trying to think of something with a low episode count and good quality. I stand by Nimona though. Plus it's on Netflix so patreon easy

Laishiec

Echoing others, Vinland Saga would be a great choice for you guys. Also Castlevania on Netflix is very good as well.

TrixieTurner

Hmm hard to pick but you can’t go wrong with gravity falls or amphibia.

MeliFair

If you guys want to get a variety of (anime) genres: Vinland Saga is good for historical drama Spy x Family is good heartwarming comedy (the Japanese cast does a great job with this series) Frieren is good Fantasy (good character development and found family) Apothecary Diaries is good historical mystery with little dash of drama and comedy (great female main character) Demon Slayer is good supernatural action Some more old school classics from Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2 - kinda unhinged genderbending comedy, and Inuyasha - time travel supernatural action romance)

Travis Lee

One I recently really liked was PLUTO on Netflix. But I'm an old school anime type guy. The anime is new but it feels more like it's for someone like me who prefers the Cowboy Beebooops and the Bubblegum Crisises and yer Ghost in the Shells and yer Gundam Wingers.

Travis Lee

Man, I got to check out this Vinland Saga all the comments are saying.

Jake Thompson

Do Violet Evergarden, you cowards.

Rime Pendragon

I think you guys would love Mob Psycho 100. I recommend the English dub, it's really good.

Chimezie Meregini

Gravity falls, the boondocks, and Vinland saga would all be great options

Unreal Gaz

Frieren I think dub is pretty well done or Violet Evergarden . Star Wars Visons is overall pretty fun.

Holographic Golem

It’s time. Gravity falls to make my avatar happy.

Kay

I freaking love Gravity Falls and would love for y'all to see it, but I feel like you would also need to have on the viewing rotation a serious animated show (like a Vinland Saga, Violet Evergarden, etc.) to have as a counterbalance for strong post-show discussions for the channel. Gravity Falls is fun and has mystery to it, but it is still a straight up Disney kids show. It's a good palate cleanser if you have something super deep and serious on the viewing roster.

Josef Beck

Try out Black Lagoon! Its good stuff.

Dysike

Anime-wise, Konosuba is a lot of fun. Or Frieren for something currently airing. Young Justice could be a fun non-anime option, I remember liking that as a teenager.

Joel Z

If you are going by popularity Vinland Saga could be good. But I am also thinking of what could be good fit for the channel and I think you would really enjoy Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - season 1 is a bit slow, but similarly to Cowboy Bebop a lot of shows were influenced by it. Monster is another good shout - its now fully on Netflix and is one of the classics and I would say is the most “Western” anime out there. It is decent enough that Guillermo del toro wanted to do an adaption for HBO but it never worked out

Tiff D

SPY x FAMILY!!. Just came back from a trip to Japan and it’s one of the most popular anime that’s on right now. Hilarious slice of life of a spy family! Also (not a toon) but would love to see your reaction to Cobra Kai season 5

rickie woodson

X-Men '97 is coming up so...X-MEN THE ANIMATED SERIES BABY! Journey back to the good old days of the 90s. 5 seasons, 76 episodes of mutant goodness so you can go into X-MEN '97 as X-PERTS. Second choice: Gargoyles. 3rd: OG 90s Sailor Moon but il take saor moon crystal as a consolation prize. Crystal is like an abridged version of sailor moon so wont be as long or as grueling a chore to watch/edit. Just miss out on the charm of the 90s anime trope and "bad" dub. #DIC

shaddy

Oh, a recommendation call! If you not tired of anime, there are some good ones. Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch - I believe you will have fun with politics in this one, even if it is just edgy realpolitik. Kind of fanservicy. Shinsekai yori - good unsettling vibes. Adapted from real novel no less, which both bad and good Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - unconfined human spirit Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica - Great story, but should be watched if there is basic understanding of magic girl genre. Without context still good Ping Pong the Animation - one of the only sports anime I didn’t mind watching Baccano - Cowboy Bebop vibes, but with mafia and some mystical stuff. Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou - just a very chill traveling through the end of times. Dorohedoro - manga was great, didn’t get to anime yet. Mugen no Ryvius - space saga, old. But I feel like it aged appropriately Death parade - tearjerker, story cool too, even if unfinished. NHK ni Youkoso! - Interesting story, remember being good. May not aged well though. Honorable mentions: Devilman: Crybaby - too much gore and some believe as a bad adaptation. I did like it though. Shinseiki Evangelion - iconography is great, but I don’t care that much about the story. Don’t @ me. Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku - the first isekai. I remember it being a little out there, but enjoyable. Also films: Koe no Katachi - tearjerker, just wanna see you laugh yourself out of this one) Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) - good old one. Princess Mononoke - heard there were some talks about it during avatar (the blue one), would like to see.

cassanova frankenstein

my vote is for Vinland Saga. curious to see what your impressions are on that one

Hiccup

My suggestions would be: 1) Demon Slayer 2) That time I got Reincarnated as a Slime 3) Vinland Saga 4) Spy x Family

patrickthechief

samurai champloo would be my number one. made by the same dudes as cowboy bebop. and in my honest opinion just as good. plus it's an excellent chaser for Blue Eye Samurai

Rabao

One vote for Vinland Saga.

Iced Macchiato

Maybe consider some kdramas too? Would be excited to see your reaction to The Glory

Matt Daye

Monster would be totally up their alley, crime thriller suspense with crazy twists and turnsand wonderful characters with the kind of more taking its time, coen brothers, kind of pacing like cowboy bebop that theyd like.

Kay

Yes! I remember when Extraordinary Attorney Woo was on for a past vote some time ago. +1 to either bringing back Attorney Woo to the polls or putting "The Glory" up, I love them both. If you want fun, light drama, then Woo, but if you want dramatic and intense then "The Glory"

SMUG HYUN

Vinland

Blizaga101

Soul Eater has some fantastic action sequences. Gets a bit fan servicey at times tho.

Mitchell Blomquist

Second Samurai Champloo! It's a short little gem and I love the hip hop influence and irreverent story telling. As you guys are big music fans, I'd also be very curious to see how you all react to the soundtrack. RIP Nujabes ❤️

Bjaskorv

Samurai champloo!

Kanwar Taroo Raaje

Stranger/Forest of Secrets is a k drama thriller about mainly corruption that is excellent across the board 16 epsiodes. Prison Playbook is also really funny and poignant. For anime I would recommend: Mo Dao Zu Shi (Chinese anime, supernatural, mystery, war, politics) Haikyuu (99% realistic sports anime about volleyball. Really great writing and characters) Mononoke (Short, supernatural mystery, unique art) Shōwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjū (Beautiful storytelling, set in older time period) Fruits Basket (Romance, supernatural, mental heath, family and friendships) Natsume Yuujinchou (Supernatural, slice of life, heartwarming) Mob Pyscho 100 ( 10/10 anime)

Daniel S

Hunter x Hunter would be great, why so many people are saying vinland sage almost everyone reacted to it already just watch their reactions but not that many reacted to hunter x hunter at least no recently

Lanie Williams

*I am also adding that I hope you guys react to Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi). Basically, it’s DND/food centric.
