Agreed that fight scene probably could have been handled better, such that it didn't make the characters so oblivious that it seemed like questionable writing rather than believable fog-of-war -- especially since they already established how slippery Anders could be. Eh, it feels like a misstep, but a relatively minor one in the overall scheme of things (IMO). I'd never pretend to be remotely unbiased when it comes to Critical Role (caught the first stream by random chance and was hooked for this entire campaign), but while there's nothing revolutionary about the plot, characters, etc., I do think the show has enough charm to make it a fun ride - and these reactions are a blast (including the honest criticism when it's earned)!

I also agree that the fight could have been animated (rather storyboarded) better. The animation on this show is always top tier but sometimes studios get so obsessed with the moment to moment action that logic can get defenestrated. (I just wanted to use the word defenestrated here because I never get to do that, it just means “thrown out of a window”. If you already knew that sorry to add the explainer) I still love this show with all my heart. The creators are just so fun and every time I have met them has been exceptional. I personally want them to shy away from direct dialogue from the live play which was made up on the spot. I prefer the brevity or witty changes they are able to make to the moment by moment dialogue.
