Hey hey Patrons!

We're back and only for 2nd to last time in with the Survey Corp, Paradise, and Marley - our 2nd to last episode of Attack on Titan.

That is before we're all caught up and then we'll have to rock it with youse guys week to week when Part 3 finally drops!

We have some of the craziest action beats of the show in a while. Like Mikasa goes OFF on the rooftop and we were NOT prepared!

And we get the fully realized Falco Jaw Titan and holy shit he looks sick!

Also, seeing Annie and Mikasa have a friendly interaction with Annie and it is just surreal and awesome!

We got Chainsaw Man Ep 2 dropping tomorrow and we had a blast with it!

Minor correction, Falco is the Jaw Titan, not the Cart 🙂

I was gonna comment on the other post, but I thought it was funny when y’all was theorizing in the post episode discussion last week that Mikasa may not attack the Jaegarists out of the “protect Eren” bio-programming. And then knowing the ABSOLUTE BLOODBATH that Mikasa unleashes in this episode 😂

TrixieTurner

Boo boo Mikasa, boo Mikasa Ackerman. They really had to pad the episode with that roof fight scene.

TrixieTurner

This episode is the most erwin Floch has ever been.

TrixieTurner

I dunno man it just felt so much like they were just trying to meet a gore/brutality quota and give Mikasa something to do since without titans to fight she doesn't have much to do.

Yess!! Demon Slayer! Thank you Emile for recommending them it!

This is the first time I heard someone say they disliked that scene. It was one of the highlights of the episode 💀

Natasha Padparadscha

No way was it a quota. It's a scene featuring an Ackermann, which are known for being ruthless and good at everything, and it fits in to the story and episode really well. It's not out of character at all for Mikasa.

TitusAureliusX

The discussion at the end of the video gets cut short, was enjoying it lol

TrixieTurner

@Monte, yeah its just different strokes for different folks. This show is dense enough that I hate it when they pad it out with filler like this. Plus something about mikasas face when she stares at the camera looked weird and goofy to me.

TrixieTurner

@NatashaPadparadscha Well yeah thats what I mean I never said it was out of character for mikasa, akcermans are just there to fight and produce gore. That scene wasn't in the manga, it felt like they needed more gore and violence so they tossed mikasa a scene.

Love your content! Just wanted to let you know quality is capped at 360p. I'm not sure if YouTube is just rendering very slow or what but just a FYI.

Reddd Hunter

It's important for the overall plot. They are killing their former comrades / friends. It's not like she's just killing randos. I think this moment was meant to remind us that the show is brutal beyond just the story.

Anthony Villena

I think they added the extra fighting to fit the medium, going from static pages to animation. Some people think it is to show the brutality of war or something about Mikasa, but that seems extremely superficial compared to other ways the show has portray its thoughts about war or characterization

TrixieTurner

@Reddd Hunter I can see if they were trying for that but I still don't think it's needed. I mean we literally just saw how brutal the show is and the fact they're traitors killing their former comrades who they view as going too far last episode with Connie. Besides the show has been consistently brutal the entire time, it really feels like it's supposed to be more of a check out how badass Mikasa is moment. This entire episode was filled with moments of people showing off.

Letting you know it was the same for me, in case it was a weird youtube thing still happening! Also I think you guys would really like Violet Evergarden, Erased, and/or Death Parade. Kind of depends on the amount of content for one show youre lookin to do on this in between -- I also recommend Flip Flappers and/or Madoka Magica.

Iliad

One that's kind of old that has some interesting animation for its time is Kemonozume (i think 80's? never came to U.S but I feel like y'all would enjoy it)
