it wasnt good dudes and dudette. i get it has to be mcu but does it have to be THAT much of the mcu? what the slapstick was going on?! the marvel zombies comic with jennifer kale and morbius as a team taking out the big names that are zombies is so much better. should have had them as protagonists against all of the mcu just killing and slaying and being SERIOUS...............but thats nuts!

I definitely agree, if only this episode followed the same tone of infinity war (since it does take place during that time) I would have been more invested. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed the episode. Doctor strange episode still reigns supreme tho.

I love the mcu, but good lord they can't resist jokes can they. It's a problem they have with having jokes at moments when jokes shouldn't be happening.

I call it MCU fatigue. Tonally, its fun for some of their movies but it gets boring pretty fast when it's their whole schtick. It's not like the humours even that great, its like Big Bang Theory level writing sometimes lol

SPOILERS ON THE END (just in case) . . . i think the implication is more that the surviving heroes are on their way to refuge, like you say, but they don't know that Thanos is a zombie with FIVE of the Infinity Stones (the one on the back of the hand is missing). So they are unwittingly bringing him the last stone, and who knows what zombie Thanos decides to do with them. but yeah, i think it would have been better to at least have the heroes discover him there as the last shot, as opposed to that weird set of cuts

I keep wondering to myself if this episode would have been more satisfying if it was longer than 30 minutes. Like, maybe that wouldn't have helped because it really feels like the writers should have strayed from any actual Thanos/Infinity War plot. It's also just uncompelling writing. I think I just don't vibe with some of the "What If" cliffhanger endings, or at least when in episodes like this the concept is so high and they "bite" ;) off more than they can chew. Especially after the Doctor Strange episode, where it was so clear in narrative and intention and had a closed ending.

it wasnt yellow but orange aka the soul stone. the mind stone goes in the center fist and that spot is empty

yeah it coming after that doc strange ep didnt help. this belongs next to the sharon carter episode. the series was going (for me) from meh to great and this reversed the trajectory for me

The episode was a fun ride but agreed could have used a tone adjustment, and vision is really getting the uncle ben treatment. I mean how many times are we going to have to watch him die.
