Heya everyone-

We heard the chatter in the comments and we're so excited to dive into a brand new show with you!!!

Invincible is an animated show from Amazon based on the comic by Robert Kirman (creator of Walking Dead). It's a hyper violent love letter to the super hero genre...but not in a Zack Snyder or The Boys sorta way.

We're having an absolute blast with the show and are excited to share our reactions with you.

The YouTube edits will start hitting this upcoming Tuesday, and as always, our loyal Patreon folks will get the next episode a week early, which is why we're giving you the FULL UNCUT REACTIONS to episodes 1 AND 2 RIGHT NOW!!!

Hit up the links below and let us know what you think of the show in the comments!

I’m not convinced animation is that much cheaper. In the 80’s I was starting out and doing low end animation for $1200 a finished second. I’m talking clutch cargo cheap. In California, computer animation was going from $10k to $20k a finished second, without voice actors around that time. A big studio like Disney outsources most of it cell animation to Korea to save costs. Feature films or a different story. This is sort of middle of the road animation in this show. I’d be very curious to find out what they’re paying for it.

Not gonna lie yall this was the most hyped show i had been waiting for yall to cover. its so freakin good. the lastest episode was so good, one of the best ive ever seen in an animated show. and i cant wait to see how yall reacted to that one too!

Michelle

also yes the animation is a bit choppy in some parts, or you know like characters standin still just moving their lips sometimes, BUT its really good where it matters the most. important dramatic scenes and especially the big action pieces all look great. animation is expensive yall. i still think though that korra remains the best animated show in terms of animation itself. the number of drawings per episode was ridiculous and still hasnt been topped. im lookin forward to when yall cover korra and see how gorgeous that animation is.

I don't want to google what happens to Rexplode and spoil things for myself but I truly need multiple seasons of Jason Mantzoukas doing this

Interesting. I bet with the success of the show they can up some production value, but at the end it’s great voice acting performances and a really compelling story

As I said in the YT comments, this show is cartoon crack. I read the entire comic run years ago and its special bruh. NO CAP. Its a superhero game of thrones, that has marvel/dc/image satire, dark darrrrrrk turns that are far worse than gory violence which says sumtin lol. Im a little envious you guys are experiencing this for the first time, that cherry popped now lol. Great pod yall.

It really is! DeFinitely digging Thur equal parts deconstructionist elements and the earnest sweetness of it!

Oh I think the animation is fine. Everyone go on their high horse about since Corridor Crew did their breakdown, it’s a touch choppy but I think it makes some of the panels more “iconic” and yes the story and meat of the story is so strong all that falls by the wayside! So stoked to going through this one!
