Totally agree with Sean and Max regarding the first Godzilla movie: when that person died, I think I might've even said what the fuck out loud in the theater. I kept on expecting him to return because I just couldn't believe they would hire that guy only to kill him off so quickly, and to make matters worse, have the son character carry the entire movie...they would've been better off hiring a potato for that role considering the amount of charisma he had. There was definitely NOT enough Godzilla to make up all the time we had to spend with Captain Cardboard.

I think you were just kidding about Roland Emmerich directing this movie, but just in case, the director is actually Michael Dougherty, who made Trick 'r Treat and Krampus...two horror movies that would be a fun watch for your Manly Monday movie nights (or Shitty Movie nights, depending on your opinions of them). And I must admit, with very little shame, I actually cried a little during this trailer because I loved how they used Claire de la Lune, one of my favorite pieces of music. Like you, I'm looking forward to the movie, but I'm trying to keep my expectations reasonable. I did have a good time watching the first Godzilla (when he was on) and Skull Island though. Anyway, pardon the thesis, loved your reactions!

Oh without a doubt! I love that director! If there was EVER a single person on planet earth to direct a Gremlins Reboot of some kind, this is the guy! I loved both TrT and Krampus, I did, however, not realize he was the director when we shot this! So good catch!
