Hey hey Patrons!

We're back and we're watching arguably one of the most devastating moments of this entire franchise, let alone this insane run that S6 has!

It's time to watch The Door.

Yall know what's coming, but we do have a special surprise that you might not and maybe one of the only emotional balms that could be applied after such a mind-bending, tear-jerking, soul-crushing episode as this....

Bravo Sam.

Bravo Kristian.

RIP Hodor.

One of the realest in all of Westeros.

The Night King cometh...

Travis Lee

So he warged into the past warg of the warg to get the warging of the future warg warg to hold the door and the future warging into the past warging caused him to say hodor. There, easy to understand.

Angel started crying and I started crying. How dare you make me feel my own feelings!

Proper reaction, Hodor...no WILLIS! Gotta put some respect on his mf name. The implication that Bran/The Three-eyed Raven is why he was like that is wild. Willis saw his own terrifying death and it fragmented his mind. Also, that his hodors always seemed like he understood exactly what everyone was saying. His responses seemed normal to him, like everyone else was the weird ones. What a messed up reality to live in until the loop finally closes and he seems to know exactly what is happening. Just like "Oh yeah, this is where I die...I guess I'm holding the door." What a straight up G. I cried the first time he died but now I just get choked up. Kristian and Sam were so good with so very little dialog wise. it's crazy on rewatch because I pay way more attention every part of the performances, it is gold. I still wonder if Hodor knew what was coming and that is why he would freak out, like his fragmented mind was trying to protect him but whenever he got stressed it would kinda come back a bit. One day we will have it from George in books form and know as I don't think it has happened in the books yet. I also like all of the TER flashbacks, they give so many tantalizing bits of history for the book fans and attentive viewers put it together too. As far as the Iron Islands drowning ceremony, it is something that the show doesn't explain; they shy away from some those elements of the books. The old Priest Aeron "Damphair" Greyjoy, is actually Yara (Asha in the books) and Theon's uncle. He gave up his place in line for succession when their father took the throne of the iron islands if iirc. Also I think he drowned and came back half-insane and became a zealot for the Drowned God. Like High Priest of the drowned god and everyone was a bit scared of him. That ceremony where he drowns folks and they come back was something he did for years and usually men just died unless they were lucky and survived it naturally; or unaturally I guess. I think the a survivors sort become his cult. But after Dany's dragons were born all these old rituals that used to just never work, The drowning, the alchemical dragon fire goop used at the Blackwater, Thoro's flaming sword/resurrection powers increased in potency. There is a direct link to the dragons or maybe that comet in the sky, or both. All of it coming back for some purpose. I think even folks like all servants of the Lord of Light and the Warlocks of Qarth from season 2, were affected by, Hence why they start all seem to start making moves at that point. Warlocks wanted the dragons not just for their value but their connection to real power. I assumed Melisandre was just chilling in her normal hag form until all of a sudden her prayers and rituals started working and she was able to change her likeness then go work for what she believes her god wanted from her. So Euron technically did sort of die and come back in that scene, in the show it is left up to the imagination. Euron in the books was accused of doing like black magic and shit during his travels of the world. He wasn't JUST a loudmouthed psycho, he was like an occult loudmouthed psycho. Info dump done, I love you goodbye.

I still think at that last few seconds when Hodor's face starts to look focused right at the end I think he turned back into Willis and was fulfilling his destiny. Also I am already subbed to Sam's channel!!!!!

Yeah, there’s a shade of determination in his face for a moment that I hold on to, like he’s all in, knows what he must do.
