Damn. First time I've watched this episode after seeing season 3... They reinforce their prior storytelling so well on this show. Teared up a little at Syd and Tina. Looking forward to the rest. Love to y'all.

As someone who is self employed, this show stresses me out but it's relatable. It's up to you to retain the business and that is incredibly stressful. But it's also kind of fun but it's terrifying. (And I am self employed by my own will. I didn't have rich parents etc. I am the first in my family to get a bachelor's degree.)

I don't think Jimmy is literally in the mob - I think he's just a businessman/developer/property manager who has some shady connections and is probably hiding a lot of assets from the IRS, but I don't think he's ever actually broken anyone's legs, ordered anyone's legs to be broken, or is involved in any violent criminal enterprise. He's Polish, not Italian.

Remember when Carmy and Syd were bouncing ideas off each other in the S1 finale when they were counting the money and they said, "Window on the side, for sandwiches"? They are going to turn this into a fine dining establishment aiming for a Michelin star, but they are also going to retain some of the character of the predecessor by selling Original Beef sandwiches out of the side window.
