Hey hey Jeffs!

We're back with the finale of The Bear and hot damn does this one pull at the heart strings!

Honest to goodness character arcs with Richie and Carmy!

We finally get the Chekov's Suicide Note and it's simple, straightforward and achingly sad!

Jeremy Allen White shows why he's shouldering this apple cart and the rest of the cast congeal into a really satisfying conclusion for this season!

Also... we have to call Jenilea's beau Ryan to explain to us why the money, that is still owed, is a big plus, other than it just not being missing! We're not dumb we swear, we just thought we missed something!

I just always assumed Michael didn't think far enough ahead and didn't think Cicero would hold Carmy accountable for the money that he borrowed. Or just thought Carmy wouldn't tell him? Michael isn't painted as a person with smart business acumen from what we've seen of him.

Haha, I love how this is the moment you see Trump is convicted on 34 felonies lol.

As a graphic designer, and someone who is interested in prop design, I would like to know the process of how the sloppy book keeping was designed. What was their strategy to create a sloppy book keeping system that looked realistic? They were thinking "How would Michael input this information? We have to make sure it makes sense to Michael but a lot of it makes sense to NO ONE ELSE." I have met plenty of people who do this. Where you have to shake them and go "I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR ACRONYMS MEAN. PLEASE STAHP."

My thinking on the money was that Carmy thought Mikey had spent that money and all that was left was debt. But, surprise, Mikey hid the money and now Carmy can do something with it. Yes, it is owed to Uncle Cicero, but presumably Mikey had some payment setup with Cicero already. So it literally is just a loan. Yes, you owe back the money but you can pay it back in some structured way and in the mean time you’ve got cash on hand.

The delivery guy who dropped off the 200lbs of pork in this episode is just some random actor, buuuut... the real owner of Mr. Beef (the actual River North Italian beef shop on Orleans that the show was inspired by and where the pilot was filmed) does appear on the show, in the pilot episode. He's the guy who Carmy got beef from in exchange for the big bag of coins from Ballbreaker and some vintage jeans - his name is Chris Zucchero. His connection to the show is that he has known show creator Chris Storer since they were in kindergarten together growing up in Chicago. He's got a very distinctive completely unmistakable Chicago native accent. I shall say no more than that for now. As for trying to make sense of the questions you have about the money in the cans, it's all explained in S2, which I'm assuming you have already watched by now, given that you filmed this reaction 2.5 months ago (Trump was convicted on May 30th and today is August 17th).

Also, "Bear" is not Carmy's unique nickname - it's a family nickname that the Berzatto siblings all call each other. Carmy is Bear, Mikey is Bear, Natalie is Bear. Their last name is pronounced Bear-zah-toe. That's all that it is - a shortened version of their last name.

Loved season 1 and loved y'all's reactions and insights! Season 2 is SOOOO good. I can't wait.

That's what I was thinking. I literally watched season 2 and can't remember how this was handled lol. So I will catch up when they react. But this sounds the most plausible.
