A whole ass year! I remember the internet GoT fandom was fucked up by this. So many folks were like "Fuck this whole series!" and "I'm not watching anymore." Of course they watched still but it was fun as hell. Between, Ned, the Red Wedding and this I get it, GoT is not for the faint of heart. Even as a book reader it was hard to watch. I think the strongest motive to stay is to witness vengeance or some kind of closure. Myranda fell face first onto cobblestones from like 20+ feet up, Theon and Sansa jumped outside the wall onto snow so softer but not insignificant. Franken-Mountain is terrifying. I love how much magic they show in this series as it escalates. It is high magic but done dirty. Wildfire, Dragons, Blood Magic, Undead Army, weird snow fairies, faceless men, warging, like so much magic. It does beg the question where all of that magic is in HotD, we have a million dragons but basically no other magic. It is interesting. It isn't an outlier opinion at this point in the series but Arya and Tyrion's arc are what kept me coming back and Davos. Davos probably my favorite character from the books because more than anyone I feel like he tries so hard to do good things. Liam Cunningham is a G for that performance.

I remember after this episode was done we all had to wait an entire YEAR to find out what happens. And since George didn't write anything after this we were all speculating hard core on what would happen. Theories went a flying.

Okay, I know I have posted way too many times but this is another thought. Those who are out there fighting do not shame their captors. They simply kill them or behead them. They do not march them through the streets. In a sense this is a display of mercy, which is more virtuous. But the comfortable people afforded to be in a religious mind set often shame people. Which creates an infection. An infection can run through the body and infect everything. Whereas a beheading would not. (But the beheading could also create an infection, so none of it really makes sense.) Alls I am saying is that the shame march was much more cruel than a beheading.
