Hey hey Patrons!

We're back with the FINALE of a bonafide classic! Also don't worry we're rocking the movie!

But man it's hard to believe that this is final episode, but this is among some of the only ways that it could end!

After losing our chaotic twin E's and now we gotta get into the Spike of it all!

We finally get into the roses and the rain and the backstory with Julia! And Morgan thinks she's kinda mid.... lol.

The show feels like a slow, brooding march toward it's conclusion in a satisfying but yall

we were not PREPARED FOR A BIRD BOMB!!

Absolute classic. Calling the bird bomb was hilarious. One of the things I really love about the show is that even in the most serious stuff, there is still some ridiculous aspects to it. Looking forward to the movie reaction. It is a great send-off for the characters.

Markus Burns

Ngl wasn't expecting that reaction to the ending lol sheesh no but I understand some of you're guys points. There is tons of video essays that explain CB really well on YT. Why spike is the way he is, etc. Can't recommend them enough. To be fair that's why watching the movie before these episodes makes sense. That phrase at the end, "You're going to carry that weight." Basically summarizes the show, You're going to feel that emotional weight that comes from caring about people. Just my interpretation. Can't wait for the movie reaction, definitely has the vibes.

Bit of a shame y’all didn’t warm up more to Spike (*cough* Jet) towards the end. Not saying I don’t see how that is possible but for me and many more Spike Spiegel is one of the most iconic anime characters ever and just embodies the rule of cool like no other. But hey ho onto the film

Joel Z

Valid comments and criticism from you imo.

SeanTankTop

he was obviously cool, but we rarely saw a crack in the veneer, and I think that's where the problem maybe lies.

Bird bomb! Vicious Jokered his way out by putting a bomb inside of a living being within the place he was imprisoned.

Travis Lee

I'm curious to see if they interweave Vicious throughout the live action version a lot more. I've only seen the first episode. I'd be curious to see. Because even when I was teen watching this I kind of thought...the credits always point towards the Vicious and Julia stuff but the VAST majority of the show isn't about that. And when the finale came I literally felt like you guys did. Where I thought it was a cool and fun ending but I also was kind of like "Did I miss something with Vicious and Julia in previous episodes?" And I didn't miss anything.

Travis Lee

As far as suggesting any anime I would suggest Gundam Wing. But that might be one you've all have already seen. It's a staple in Japanese culture.

Travis Lee

Oh...don't do the dub on Gundam Wing IF you do it. Do subtitles. I am not saying this as some elitist purist. I am saying this for the sake of corniness.

Been a great ride! the show is so nonstandard that yeah you just wish there was more, wish there was 20 more episodes of deep story and development and back story, but it's the anime equivalent of an amazing live show jam session of a bunch of random artists who got together on a whim. The ups and downs, the good and the bad. You'll see it once and ever get anymore, just the memories and the desire to hear more. Also I'm excited for Movie time, Knocking on Heavens Door is such a good time with a great sound track.

Samurai Champloo next please

ominousbiscuit

No spoilers but the movie is... decent. You've already seen the best of Bebop at this point. And y'all hit on the biggest weakness of the show, which is that we never get to see quite enough of the Spike-Julia-Vicious back story to get invested enough for Spike's death to not feel much more bitter than sweet. Like a sequel to a movie we never saw. Oh well. 23 years later and I'm still carrying that weight.

One of the best animes of all time, thank yall for covering it. The movie is incredible and was animated by MADHOUSE studios. It is perhaps one of the best hand drawn animations in history.
