Hey hey Patrons!

Well we got a really nostalgic and horny set up on episode 4 and A FUCKING EMOTIONAL JUGGERNAUT OF PAIN in EPISODE 5! What the actual fuck show!?!?

We have a ball with the 16-bit Arcade walk and brawl style of the Motendo section!

Forge and Storm have some horny chili and a horny horsey ride and fucking FALL IN LOVE?!?!

Then in Ep 5, we get Remember It in Genosha and the EMOTIONAL TERRORISM they lay on us.

We finally get some extended Rogue and Gambit stuff, and Magneto just straight up cucking poor Remy complete with a saucy floating dance!

And then the fucking Sentinels show up and serve up a dozen 9/11s worth of destruction (directly analogous according to the show's creator who just recently broke his social media silence to comment on this episode specifically) and start erasing main characters left and right (for now)!

Magneto's final line in German, Remy's last stand, and Rogue's final embrace are just shattering.

Can we go back to the horny Chili?

The point is that they don't actually have a reason to hate mutants but not other super heroes. It's bigotry. Bigotry is not logical. That is why X-Men *don't* work in their own separate universe. Because there's a logical reason to be afraid of people who can explode your head with their mind. That's not bigotry. Bigotry is hating Xavier for his mind exploding powers while loving Moondragon, a reformed villain, for hers just because she wasn't born a mutant.

Tulsa Masacre, but make it Xmen.

As an old school X-Men reader this episode was awesome but also brutal. I started reading/collecting X-Men during the Mutant Massacre and Inferno era and that is also where I think the X-Men cemented it's identity and popularity. In the comics there is a lot of cross-over with the X-Men and Avengers. Rogue's first appearance was as a villain in an Avengers annual way back in the early 80s iirc. Scarlet Witch and Pietro first appearance X-Men issue 4 as members of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and then later they became members of the Avengers. That is why you see Quicksilver in both franchises because there was enough wiggle room in the rights that Disney could leverage him into their stories but Wanda less so; at least that is what I remember at the time. Also why it was rad when they used Evan Peters in Wanda-Vision as fake Pietro right when Disney bought Fox and a good red herring/joke. Wolverine and Beast were both core-ish members at one point, Wolverine just because any book you stuck him in sold more an Beast because his science/inventor role fit in well with Tony, Banner, and Pym. From like the late 80s through the mid-90s X-Men was the dominant book so characters swapped between teams and they retconned characters without real origins for their powers into mutants since X-books were the most popular. I stopped reading at that point but I still remember all of the full universe crossovers of the 90s where old characters got retconned into mutants. I still have no idea how they can cleanly integrate mutants into the MCU timeline. Feige, Joss/Jed Whedon, and Mo Tancheroen already tried to introduce mutants in Agents of Shield. They just gave them an alien super-science origin instead of X-gene because at that point the rights were still with Fox. It was a cool version of the Mutant story though that fit with the world established in the show and movies at the time. That new Deadpool movie along with the introduction of the TVA is probably how they are going to cheat it in but Disney is going to have the same issue Marvel did with their timelines and universes so I assume there is going to be a reset to coalesce all their scattered marvel IPs back into the same pool of characters and stories. Agents of Shield is underrated and has more in common tonally with something like X--Men 97 than; leans more on drama and horniness. Not like y'all have a desire or time in the schedule to watch it but if y'all ever need to fill a slot with something it is a good watch.

of course morgan would love the fairy lol. she is bestest girl! her name is pixie and she has a comic called "pixie strikes back". great read cause you get her origin in it. she was also featured as a member of the xmen during the utopia era when greg land was the artist, academy x and the magik miniseries that brought her back from the dead called "X-Infernus". unfortunately she's british but hey everyone cant be perfect ;)
