For today's worldbuilding post... Language and the Alphabet!! 

The alphabet is heavily based on and influenced by actual ancient alphabets. There is no upper and lower case. I do plan to use this alphabet while drawing signs and notes in the comic, so with this handy chart, my patrons will be able to read them! (And maybe find some hidden jokes)

LANGUAGE_____________________

All countries and regions speak the same language.

ACCENTS

Tribes that speak informally:

• Lions
• Buffalo
• Crows
• Mice

Tribes that speak formally:

• Tigers
• Panthers
• Addax
• Jackals
• Falcons
• Crocodiles

PHRASES AND SLANG

INSULTS

• Mutt / Mongrel = insult toward Jackals
• “Like a hen to the fox” = someone who is/appears weak, gullible or naive
• “Close your beak” = shut up
• “He eats parrots” = he is very chatty / won’t shut up
• “What a fopdoodle” = what a dumbass
• Muckspout = someone who swears too much
• Vermin = insult toward Mice

ENDEARMENT

• Pup = a loving term used between Jackals
• Clovers = term for Bovipo because of their cloven hooves.
• Pins = term for Tigers. Short for pinstripes
• Soft paws = term for Panthers
• Whiskers = term for Mice

CURSES

• Oh, budger! = a curse
• Gods! = exclamation of shock or anger
• Skulk off! = telling someone (rudely) to go away
