TRIBES // JACKAL (pokoko / hatoto / luroro)

OVERALL TRAITS:

APPEARANCE:

• Excellent strength and stamina but less speed
• They have the heads of jackals
• Broad shouldered and athletic and tall
• Paws instead of feet
• Hands are very big and clawed
• Thick fur coats
• Fur can be tan, brown, blue, white, gray, red, or black
• Males have short, fluffy tails
• Females have no tails and are less expressive
• Every Can Ui has a different pattern on their face. Its the easiest way to tell them apart.

PERSONALITY:

• Live in Montelupine
• Known as cunning tricksters, they love a good joke
• Very family oriented, they’re tight knit and fiercely loyal to those they consider their pack
• Excellent hunters with good eyesight but even better sense of smell and hearing
• Most Jackals are poor, the merchants who own their mines take most of the profits.
• Not a very common race, they aren’t seen often outside of Montelupine

CHILDREN:

• Young Can Ui are called “pups”
• Pups are very mischievous
• Pups will run around in packs causing trouble
• Adults usually do not discipline pups until they grow older. Their mischief is tolerated.
• (except, of course, if the pup does something particularly dangerous)
• Pups can be very destructive. They will chew on anything.
• Pups from other villages will steal pretty rocks from Pokoko’s mines
• Pups from other villages will steal vegetables from Luroro’s fields
• Pups from other villages will stal sneak into Hatoto’s hot springs
• Grabbing a pup by the back of the neck pacifies them.

VARIATIONS:

POKOKO:

• Tan or Blue fur
• Long ears, pointed with dark tips
• A mining village built on the mountainside with vegetation
• Used to outsiders
• Main Goods: Gems and Precious Stones

HATOTO:

• White or Red fluffy fur
• Wider, big ears with black tips
• A hunting village built far northwest on a snowy mountain top with hot springs
• Avoids outsiders
• Main Goods: Pelts and Animal Goods

LURORO:

• Black or Gray fur
• Smaller triangular ears
• A farming village in a valley protected by the worst snow
• Leery of outsiders
• Main Goods: Crops and Tools
