This development preview will give you a look into new features coming to Oh So Hero!

We hope you liked the big update we had at the end of August!

I'm starting off the September build with bug fixes and performance improvements. Of note:

Some users experienced problems with the v0.16.600 and v0.17.000 builds, including crashes. We're sorry for the trouble. This was caused by a change in the way High Quality Animations were loaded. I've decided to revert to the old behavior as the standard, and provide an option for the new method: Preload Animations, which is intended for higher-end systems.

However, this only applies if High Quality Animations are set to "Always". This feature is still somewhat experimental, so we've also added a safeguard to ensure the system meets the requirements needed to use it. A description has been added to the Options Screen to explain in detail.

Additionally, I've re-written a major underlying system controlling character states. This should provide a somewhat faster framerate, especially in scenes with lots of enemies.

In any case, these are all multifaceted issues, and we will continue making optimizations across the board as development progresses. We would like your feedback on the next build to see how we are doing! =}
