I'm a fan of Madlib's work with MF DOOM and Freddie Gibbs but had never actually listened to album so it was cool to see. His tracks are always good for people with short attention spans :)

That's a good point! I think that's one of the reasons I come back to this record so often.

Madlib kinda gets overlooked for DOOM but I have them pretty equal for producing/instrumental stuff - his Medicine Show series is great, I think there's 10+, basically just like DOOM's Special Herbs series. One day I'll collect them all lol. Random thing also - I was in Japan a few years back and they are wild for physical media, cds, cassettes and especially vinyl, records stores everywhere, heaven for people into vinyl. I mostly just buy some random stuff that looks interesting as it's quite cheap over there also, and I like to get some Japanese instrumental/beat stuff on vinyl (artists like Bugseed, Nasty Ill Brother S.U.G.I etc.. give them a look if instrumental boom bap stuff is your thing) - anyway, I picked up one record randomly, it just had a NO on the cover, got back home and finally and checked it out, it was Dr. No's Oxperiment - pretty dope instrumental album, turns out dude is actually Madlib's brother. Also have a single track recommendation for Dad that might be a nice one : Dead Prez - Hip Hop
