i agree that this overall just isn’t my vibe but i definitely enjoyed Bad Boy! and Fantastic Baby is always fun even if it’s not totally my vibe. the rest of the album was low key a snooze fest i’m so sorry 😭 but to each their own music is subjective etc etc this just ain’t for me. so far my ranking is (i forgot to chime in last month but i did listen to first sensibility and enjoyed a couple songs on there a lot) 1. Twice ‘Fancy You’ (Fav Track: Fancy) 2. B.A.P. ‘First Sensibility’ (Fav Track: S.N.S) 3. G-DRAGON ‘Kwon Ji Yong’ (Fav Track: Outro) 4. BIGBANG ‘Alive’ (Fav Track: Bad Boy)

Oh I have a feeling this will NOT be your thing at all (maybe except Bad Boy), lets see! After watching: yeah I was right - no hard feelings of course <3 people are allowed to have different tastes (a statement that a lot of the kpop community would disagree with but eh). Yes, that was TOP in Blue! It's funny that you mentioned europop, because it's part of why EXACTLY I love those types of songs in the BigBang discography (like Tonight for example)! From this album, I love Blue in particular because of the contrast between the fun dance beat and very soft, nostalgic, even melancholic vocals. I feel like this type of contrast is kind of BigBang's staple, as you said, the chorus to Fantastic Baby, and the song itself, is iconic. And for every energetic, club banger, live song like BangBangBang, there's heartbreaking, slower songs like Loser and If You. Haru Haru was their original hit after all, and that song is sad as FUCK!! This duality is why I love this group so much - a lot of it is because BigBang's music is in huge part GDragon's baby - it's the same duality that's there in SuperStar (his solo song from the album you reacted to). Lowkey sad that they didn't recommend Still Live instead of Alive (it has a full version of 'Still Alive' intro + Ego, one of my absolute favourite BigBang songs, but no Aint No Fun so I guess it's for the best) , but I understand the choice given how much sheer /impact/ Alive had at the time. I love how GD could just say "yeogi buteora" and the audience, be it a mama stage, festival, or a BB concert, would just sing the entire thing by themselves. I still watch recordings of concert audiences singing Haru Haru (not this album but yeah), and it still feels absolutely unreal. I love how you like TOP's voice!! Yes he sings in some of their songs as well! Daesung does have a VERY powerful voice - his performance of Anymore from their MADE is amazing in showing that (also it is just very moving). I think it contrasts nicely with Taeyang's (and GD's) more soft/popular type of voice. (fun fact: he also had a solo trot career for a time, now it seems he's doing more ballady type stuff??). Overall now I'm even more curious how you'll find Café, since it showcases a completely different side to BigBang than what Alive has shown 👀 (btw you being on Teddywatch every time a yg group comes up is very fun, adds a nice component LMAO)

Glad you liked it!! :D If you'd like a different side, more chill, less dance-y, more vocal heavy songs from them I cannot recommend Café and I Need A Girl enough 😊

If you would like to hear more TOP vocals, I suggest "If You" (the live version!), "Last Dance" & "Let's Not Fall In Love". Also for more TOP check out "Baby Goodnight" by GD & TOP. Oh & I second "Cafe" (definitely check it out live). Just wanted to say I'm a huge VIP but I appreciate your authenticity so much! It's refreshing & I can't understand how people comment that you're "overreacting" because you're truly one of the few reactors who gives your honest opinion!

Side note, on your own when you have time, you should check out the mvs for "Blue" & "Bad Boy". I think they were filmed in NYC. "Bad Boy" is one of my faves too!
