So seeing how I'll be freelancing next year and might actually try harder to make this comic work (if I'm not buried under work for hire stuff), I decided to dig up a side comic me and Io started and do a bit more drawing (and a bit of writing) on it. Can't reveal much plot-wise yet other than it will be dealing with Lin's background which I'm sure many will find fascinating :D I don't think I'd have it freely available, but it would be a great material for Patrons and a printed/PDF edition once it's complete.

Consistency is a huge issue for me so I thought I'd be thorough with designing the new character's features. I'm sure he'll continue to evolve, but hopefully it'll get to the point where I can draw him from any angle with little struggle (meanwhile Dan remains impossible to get right...It's a curse.) Should probably stop being lazy and do a proper render in full-height, too.

And here's some Lins. (both designs are legit, just from different time periods)

Speaking of younger Lins, here's my first attempt  at her design back when she was just a dopey weirdo student. It became redundant once I came up with some actual background/origins for her, but still fun. And here's another one , closer to her current country girl look (and paired up with a weirdly tall stick figury Eve for some reason)

That first-attempt-lin you linked to, reminds me of the surgeon Franken Stein from the anime Soul Eater. Radiating the same upbeat loopy crazy-happyness.
