Bonus Art Thursday (Patreon)

We..don't actually have bonus art Thursdays. But I'll try to get it to you guys as often as i can. I really shouldn't be showing any art from this project at all, as it's still SUPA SECRET, but hey, you guys give us money. You deserve to at least see a random out of context pic every now and again :D (just make sure you don't share it with anyone...I really don't want to piss off my collaborators and ruin a cool thing >_>)

Attached some layouts/messy thought process doodles. Still not sure what I should have gone with, but I like this image in terms of impact.

This is where I regretted missing out on every beginner artist's favourite hobby: drawing a whole bunch of shiny eyes that aren't attached to anything. I just don't think I've ever been into eyes as much as most people? Noses are where it's at :p So yeah, it's been a bit of a challenge.  Naturally, I had to make it super stylised so I can actually fit a somewhat readable scene into the iris. Used a tried and tested combo of Frenden's Watercolour wash brushes and a modified pencil brush that I now use for all lineart (Yes, even D&W...flatting just got a whole lot more annoying)

I do love the texture of Frenden's brushes, it's so damn crisp and works with literally anything I come up with. I'm also a sucker for fake cinematic effects like tilt shift and chromatic abberation, even with sketchy and painterly works, so I'll probably continue to abuse them in future work.
