Aomine literally is Kobe/Jordan

Michael H

My favorite part of this show is how they focus on other teams aside from the protagonists. I think the fact that you end up getting to know so many players from different teams is really cool.

nicosded

The Kobe story reminds me of when Demar DeRozan played Kobe and wore Jordans instead of Kobes like he usually did during games and Kobe said "Fck you got those on for?" lol. Kobe was jokes

Daimyō

Kasamatsu is so heartbreaking man

Aaron Mitchell

Fun little fact Akashi (the red head) is basically Akaza +Kakashi name wise, not cannon but I think it’s cool 😎😎

Daimyō

The reason why you keep a player benched with 4 fouls is also because the longer you keep him playing, the more chances you have him getting the last foul due to exhaust, you can also say it's to put him back once everyone's tired so your ace could fully perform

kai

every time akashi pops up on the screen i go a like crazy

MOB12

More Kobe/Bird/Iverson imo. The mentality and pure skill of Kobe, with the practice mentality of Iverson and his speed, and the formless shots of Larry Bird lmao

Nita.J

Aomine is a formless shooter that’s why some of his forms don’t make sense 😂

Prateek Sridhar

I'm Indian and honestly I don't find calling sitting with your legs criss-crossed as Indian style offensive at all. But sitting that way is the most comfortable way to sit for me and I do that even on chairs while chilling or gaming

Conan

Love hearing ex-nba player's stories about MJ and Kobe. Redeem Team on netflix got me hyped for the summer Olympics

Jn Whalien

My fave nickname of Kuroko: Tetsu~ It was so cool of Ron when he just laughed at Aomine's savage remarks and that he respects those mindset. 😎

Honestly copying (if any of this was even remotely real) puts 2 times more mental stress to Kise. Try copying anything perfectly and you will instantly see that you need huge amount of focus to do it long period of time. But just copying somebody really isn't a winning tactic as copy doesn't win against original.

Thamor

Trolling at its highest level to change the brand you use against everyone, but against Kobe =)

RorotheShadow

I think people always misunderstand Aomine at the end of the game. When he says, "There's nothing for a winner to say to a loser," I understand that sentence to mean that Aomine means that if the winner is nice to the loser, it can be interpreted as insulting and disrespectful by the loser. And I have to say that I completely understand this line of thought, I personally also wouldn't want to receive nice, encouraging words from the person I just lost to

Rons predictions about the characters are kinda spot on lol, but going forward I'd suggest to not compare the show to realism anymore as it will heavily lean more into the 'anime' aspect. (Not saying you can't compare players, I'm more referring to plays made etc) Though this is just my 2 cents, I usually don't like giving backseating advice but expecting a full imitation of what would actually be possible to do in real life just might leave you disappointed in the end.

Kyo Masamune

Copying someone and using your own tricks on you is both shocking and a lot more mentally taxing. Especially when you are extremely successful with your tricks. Not many people think about how to beat themselves. If what you have done hasn’t been beaten before and you suddenly have to face it yourself, you won’t know what to do against it without telling everyone else what to do now.

Thamor

@Kyo I understand what you mean on your reply, but my point was for this show. Copying perfectly somebody's moves in basketball and intentionally you can mimic them to perfection isn't realistic, but if it was possible the copying person would be more taxed. Aomine in this case can just go all out as it's just his own pure skills, but for Kise these really aren't his natural skills in basketball, but he is using his talent to mimic them to perfection.

CaptainMaakasu

I love this reaction series, especially since Ron got a background playing the sport ^^ Even if I've seen the anime twice already your investment in the show makes it worth a third re-watch <3

Larissa Haig

just a quick question to you have you watched Elevate Yourself's Coach Donny reactions to Kuroko No Basket he can keep comparing the anime not only to players but also says that most of the plays can be done in real life

JG

Was going to comment this as well. A different good translation could be something like "There is nothing a loser wants to hear from the winner"
