Love these reactions. Also as I get older I appreciate these early episodes so much more. When I was younger I just wanted epic fights all the time. I have a much greater appreciation for story and creativity now. I find One Piece very refreshing

The Sea King was just scared of Shanks. That scene just showed how strong he was. And to what it was you will understand later on the show :) A fun fact: Sea Kings only live on the Grand Line and Calm belt. And that particular creature next to Luffy’s village probably just wandered into East Blue. Momoo, as already mentioned before, was brought along by Arlong from the Grand Line

These filler episodes didn’t even feel like it. I was so interested in them that it goes well with the story and it helps out bonding with the characters and getting more attached
