Ikalgo, the octopus, is in the bird guy. If you remember he can take bodies to use as hosts like he did when he met Killua. The reason that Pitou cried is sort of a mix between two things, as people believe commonly. One is that she cried because she could feel the emotions of Meruem through his aura and the fact that Meruem was obviously by Komugi being hit. Another is that Pitou cried when Meruem said that he counted on her was that that was the first time that Meruem said that he counted on Pitou. It is not like he simply commanded her to like he usually would. He put his faith in Pitou. Also this Pitou is noticeably changed from when she was first introduced because she has demonstrated compassion through emotion, which she hasn't really done before. That being said, great reaction!

The actor you were thinking of that looks like Netero (I think) was JK simmons. And ikaglo has the ability to take over dead bodies, he did that when he was sniping killua. He took over fly dude, you see him look over the dead body of him right before they leave to fight.

Seeing these three episodes was a refresher to me for what's about to happen. So now I'm like oh shit, did anyone tell them to watch the next couple of episodes together as well? And even after the next couple of episodes, there's still gonna be more upcoming episodes that should be watched together, cause this is truly the heat of this arc.

Netero didnt talk about his ambush with the others bc if they had that information and would have been captured by Pitou she could have gathered that Info and the Ambush would have failed. The big plan was just to distract all the royal guards and for Netero to fight the King

Yeah, I'd say Pitou felt moved and honored that the king would rely on her. And hm! I don't think I've heard anybody give disapproval or pause to Gon and the rest of the gang not hearing the exact plan from Netero. While it's true that knowing what was going to happen would benefit the mission, there was a reason (someone in the comments already explained). Also, I think Netero put his full trust in the hunters infiltrating the palace; he believed they would be alright. Also! I have one thing I wanna recommend (not mandatory but I think it would be fun)! There is a great video on YouTube that shows this palace infiltration in real time! Some smart person made it so you can see how quickly the palace infiltration happened by having all the events from eps. 111-114 coincide with each other. Just a recommendation!   So....I guess I'm gonna actually go touch grass on Friday or something. 😂😭😩

You guys are bringing up such memories for me. I remember seeing this for the first time and realizing 7 seconds passed over the course of a few hours of episodes was insane. One of the few shows that ever made me actually sweat in real life from anxiousness

think the first reaction from pitou conveys her inability to fathom the king's sentiments for komugi (had his aura become unmasked prior to her arrival) and enabling her to interpret his emotions once she reached the palace. and the reason for pitou crying (not sayin this is true, just my observation) since it was the first time the king had expressed his trust and faith on his guards. pitou p much was taken on an emotional ride when she failed her first order given by the king, so it felt like an honor for her to receive faith and trust from the king for the first time made her broke down(?)

I love how Pitou reacts to Meruem's aura and petition. The three are extremely loyal, of course, but the way they act upon that loyalty is really different for each one, and Pitou is the most concerned about Meruem's feelings <3 Pouf too, but from jealousy XD

Of all anime, of all time, Meruem is and always will be my absolutely favorite character. The most beautifully written character ive seen to date, almost like from a Shakespeare novel. This arc ranks as my second favorite of all time, behind a specific One Piece arc. You guys are witnessing true peak anime rn and dont even realize it. This arc is what sets HxH in a class of its own for me

Just an FYI, JJK in manga, starting from shibuya arc, is kinda like this chimera arc, many narrations/monologue to explain the situation and help the story moves. But sadly in JJK anime they cut them a lot, only use narration few times, so from what I've seen most of the anime only ppl get the story correctly. Of course there are ppl arguing if there's too many narration it would disturb the momentum, but HxH anime in this arc did it well anyway so it shouldn't be an excuse. Unlike other stories, both HxH and JJK is very systematic (well JJK author likes HxH author, so 😂), so it would be hard to digest if the explanation is being cut everywhere.

I'm glad the way the King and Pitou reacted to what happened to Komugi left such an impression on you guys. I think its probably a good time to recall what Kite said to Gon when they first started fighting ants and Kite was worried about Gon possibly sympathizing with the ants. Gon said that he wouldn't sympathize with bugs who call each other trash. Kite then remarked to himself that "That's a dangerous view. What would you do if one of those bugs cared for its comrades?" It looks like we may have met that unlikely circumstance!

When I think of the perfect anime I think of HxH. The music, the writing, the VA, the characters, ETC. I’ve always said AOT has the best writing/ plot but the WAY HxH tells the story is the best… if that makes sense

Michelle's strategy of trapping the ants into Knov's realm was one of the debates I remember reading somewhere. Knov's abilities are too OP that's why Togashi nerfed Knov. Imagine Knov + Melereon, invisible off with their heads. LOL

The reason you had to watch it together is because it belongs together. The whole slow down of time. It all happened in like 10 seconds. And we got it explained in like 40 minutes. Yet it felt like 5 minutes. It is so extremely well executed with the narrator. It is extremely unique and just makes everything feel so special.

The dragonfly ant is really dead but Ikalgo is controlling the corpse. That's one of his abilities, he already used it back when he was trying to kill Killua, he was controlling the dead body of a sniper. Also, the ant girl we see in the bathtub at the beginning of episode 110 is not pregnant. It was explained a few episodes ago that she has the ability to remove nen and that on the order of Leol (the lion ant) she used her ability to remove Knuckle's bankrupt counter puppet from the cheetah ant. But for her to absorb it, her belly has to get big and the bigger the nen, the bigger the belly. That's why she looks like she's pregnant, she's just not done absorbing Knuckle's nen.

Suggest 125-126, 130-131 and 134-135 together. Especially 135 is should be watched from 0.01 to the last second of the end-credit. Then watch 136 as separated, 134-136 shouldn't be trio but 134-135 is really good.

Since u mentioned AOT here I'd say in my opinion no matter music,storytelling,the animation or the character building is AOT way better, but technically those 2 anime are totally different type, I'd say in ur mind u like HXH story more, thats it and its totally fine. But to mention other anime in such a comment is not a good habit, no offense here but I would say in my mind even Naruto has better battle design than HXH especially in shippuden, and Naruto also has good music and storytelling. I also think HXH is a very good anime, but just dont like that kind of comments hope u understand
