The anime skipped some parts of the manga about him, but he is set up as a character for the very very far future, if at all

For any fans of HxH here Togashi has just released his planned ending for HxH due to declining health and fear of not being able to finish the manga, where he goes through i believe 3 different endings he had planned. Although i have not read it yet i think its worth mentioning here for fans of the manga and anime. Might be an idea for Ron and michelle to read through that when they finish the show aswell to get some extra closure

He only released 1 of the cancelled plans (which is plan D), the other 3 (A, B, C) are not revealed. And it's not because he afraid, it was part of TV show where a member of Sakurazaka46 wrote letter to him asking him questions, and he replied to that letter. He revealed the plan D that he won't use anyway, so if he passed away people can use that ending. Also, plan A B C could change depends on his mood in future.
