this arc gives me vibes that the writer had a close family member pass away or something. He dramatically changed the feel of the show. Its really interesting how you can sort of feel what the artist is going through when he's writing his scenes. Nontheless, HxH will always be my favorite anime. It has phenomenal potential and I wish they would release more of it.

Ron mentioned the ants talking before without moving their mouths and them talking with their mouths now, and seeing them talk to the queen made me realise. These soldiers have human DNA so they have vocal chords but the queen doesn't have any human DNA so only when they talk to the queen they talk like ants do and their mouth doesn't move.

Seriously, rewatching chimera ant arc from the beginning, reminds me once again how great the story telling is, even for just these 2 last episodes. The introduction and early development. Togashi is GOAT :')

Believe it or not, bugs (or insects) are animals. So saying that they don't look like bugs but instead look more animal like is kinda funny XD. They look less like invertebrates for sure!

Another reason why I thought why the squadron leader didn’t eat his mother was probably bc his objective was to bring back quality humans, and since she was in bad shape that also helped in her favor. But I’m curious to see if he’ll gain consciousness sometime soon. Would really turn the tables on the ants

Fun fact that is not that difficult to catch: The ant that is based on the little kid as Ron saw he looked at his mom and kind of recognized her, also his sister was named Reina wich in spanish it means Queen so thats why he is also super devoted and super loyal to the Queen because in some way he is trying to protect his little sister. Super good writing of the show
