Gotta say there are a few shows that i never watched until i started watching you guys like avatar, fire force and this to name a few, anime that never really interested me are a lot easier to watch now that i can watch it alongside you guys. Been watching anime for 8 years and for the past few years anime hasnt really hit the same for me. But watching it with you guys is starting to reignite my passion for anime again.

This is not just an "anime thing", the football player Lionel Messi has a particularly similar characteristic to Kuroko's, it is not "disappearing" in the literal sense LOL, but making his presence forgotten or irrelevant to his opponents, Messi does this, but when the opponent notices he is already setting up moves that are almost impossible to disarm.

The thing about presence is where in a team sports, there is always that one player who doesn't seem to do anything, to the point you don't even notice he played. Thats how Kuroko is 'invisible'

Quick anime suggestion since you guys are starting new ones. Made In Abyss is a great show which starts off as very wholesome and cute but becomes very serious later on. It has a great rating and is very popular.

The manga came out in 2008 and ended in 2014. The anime came out in 2012 and went until 2015 with 3 seasons of it. So it's definitely an older anime, which you can probably tell by the graphics compared with popular anime today, like JJK, but they still do a good job with everything. There is a movie called Kuroko's Basketball: Last Game that came out in 2017 though. (I'm not entirely sure if the movie is worth watching, so you may want to get people's opinions on whether to spend time watching it after finishing the main anime.)

The legendary basketball anime you should check out is "Slam Dunk" (but the manga is better than anime because the production at that time is very old lol) I'm not sure if anime have Eng sub or not but they're very famous for 90s gen and they just have the latest movie released on Dec 2022.

Watching this again~ Funny how such a coincidence Hinata is No.10 and Tsukki is No.11, Sun(Day) and Moon(Night), and Kagami is No.10 and Kuroko is No.11, Kagami is the light and Kuroko his shadow. ^-^

This show came out in 2015, so it's almost 10 yrs old. It's not a reality-based sports anime but it's really good. I wish someone would update the anime graphic on this show.

Kuroko no Basket was my gem when I was in high school (I read it on manga) but when I tried to watch the anime recently because the movie was out in 4DX this year, I just couldn't hold my cringe 😂😂😂

If y'all already enjoy the show, stay the course, it gets so hype! The beginning can feel slow at times in s1 but it's not a long anime, it'll ramp up quick. The winter cup is a goated sports anime arc. I love this show so much

Kuroko’s basketball is a fun show but it’s not realistic whatsoever. In fact, most of the abilities in this show are pretty magical.

Actually not true, if you have played any basketball or watched anything youd recognize the real moves that are being done and how they are being exaggerated. Most exaggerated thing actually is how accurate they are. No one scores at such a high percentage in real life, but other than that, most movesets are pretty realistic.

I know the movesets are real, but their abilities are beyond human. Not gonna mention them all here, but two examples of their magical abilities that we have already been shown here is the Kuroko’s invisibility and the coach’s ability to see the physical potential of people down to every number. You may argue these are exaggerated but to me, that’s an understatement. Like no matter how good Kuroko is at hiding his presence, it can’t be to the point no one notices him at all or even sit down in the same table right in front of him and still doesn’t notice him until he speaks up. And these abilities are a strong foundation of this anime, thanks to which the characters shine. That’s why overall i say it’s not realistic. A more realistic one would have been Slam Dunk.
