Tengen Uzui

As a Yeagerist I loved the ending

Sae

PEEEEAAAAAAAAAAK

MonarchXIII

Glad you guys enjoyed it!! Aot was truly peak fiction!! 😊😬💯🔥 Thank you Isayama for this story.

gdnsx

lmfao "hey guys we're ready for the reaction" 🤪

Phyllis

The credit roll scene, many speculate based on everything in the manga that the man with Mikasa is Jean with their baby. Jean liked Mikasa from the very start but Mikasa always and only had Eren in her heart. He is the person most likely to do his best to make Mikasa happy. RIP Eren. 🥲❤️ Shinzo wo sasegeyo! P.S I'm still not ready to watch the final episode. The manga was enough to kill me with the scenes. All the anime clips of AOT everywhere have made my eyes swollen.

Wingsxofxfreedom

Saw it go up on YouTube I was wondering when it was coming on here. This was a great journey with you guys.

gdnsx

the beginning of this episode and the ending of the special #1 reminds me of the borderlands game. idk if any of you can confirm but it gives off the same vibe

Wingsxofxfreedom

We've been waiting 2000 years in the paths for this reaction.

bernieboutabag

Ok I can finally say it. Yasuke Nomura the artist of blue lock is a big fan of aot and created Rin Itoshi to look like the child of Eren and Mikasa if they had one. Wanted to say this when you guys were reacting to blue lock but was conflicted because it was spoilerish.

Overbyte

One thing i want to mention, Eren didn't care about humanity, he only cared about his friends and wanted them to live long peaceful lives and eventually die of old age. Everything he did was with that goal in mind, not to solve humanities conflict

Jason

Thanks for the AOT journey yall. AOT is one of those shows and stories that no matter what or when, it will forever be top 3 for me (alongside Naruto and JJK). I've been waiting on this day for so long as a manga reader. Now that it's come and gone... I feel like there's a void inside of me (pause). Never thought an anime/manga would make me feel that way. Give your hearts.

saylaa

god I felt the end , I was so emotional because aot is what got me into anime and knowing this was the last episode hit hard I kept pausing because I didn't want it to end the feeling is so weird😭

Gabriel S Soares

Exam will be easy: 1) Eren was: a) Hero b) Villain This show is a masterpiece!

ClassRelic

Yo this makes a grown man cry.

gdnsx

lmfao faze gabi never misses

gdnsx

i did not know that, thats hella dope actually.

gdnsx

the connie and jean scene where they were saying their goodbyes was literally very sad

JT

Mikasa & Eren's Voice actors are singing the ending song ❤️

J

EASY TOP 2 AND ITS NOT #2 ive been trying to tell yall

T K

That final shinzou wo sasageyo with Levi and with you guys hit hard. I don't think we'll get another anime of this caliber for a very long time. See you later Eren and thank you

Talachuchi

The emotional damage this last AOT episode brought to me is immeasurable. This anime is definitely in everyone's top 2. What an amazing show. I think now's the time to rewatch your AOT reaction while I wait for HxH uploads 💕

Itscurlyman

It hurts me so much to literally watch Eren and Mikasa grow up and like we all grew up with them.. we seen their journey and how much they meant to each other.. the ending was beautiful but it was sooooo bittersweet because the two lovebirds, Eren and Mikasa, never really got their happy ending. I still can’t believe Eren is actually dead and Mikasa had to live YEARS without him, so depressing but yet I love the realism.

T K

If anyone was wondering what Mikasa's role was in all of this, someone made an amazing thread on twitter that went viral breaking down their understanding of it. While some of it may be head canon it's a great read if you have the time. https://twitter.com/cactuzz4nf/status/1721331822158618670?t=u2o4uA0BS8HUUuDcdgWUJw&s=19

Mango

Btw I was surprised that ymir really did let the pigs out. At the beginning. I thought people were just throwing her under the bus when she was blamed. Like do you have proof?? XD but she really did it.

JT

Eren season 1 episode 5: "I'm not going to die in a Titans mouth" 😔

Trinature

47:23 what is Ron trying to say? lol

J

Such a disappointing end to one of the greatest shows ever… damn

Eternals Developing

I don't fully understand why so many people seem to shit on the ending, I found both this one and the manga version to be perfect fits with the show overall. But each to their own, of course.

Malik Ford

Greatest show I’ve ever watched period it’s been a pleasure watching with you guys

Jon Rose

Its important to know Erens true selfish desires. While it was ultimately a sacrifice because before he started the rumbling he knew he would be stopped and he knew it would lead to the end of the titan curse, but regardless deep down he wanted to do the rumbling and flatten the earth and he confirms that when he tells armin "I wanted to level everything, i wanted to see this site"

adonai yonas

i am soo excited to watch this

Ahkenaton Furdge

Those memories with mikasa and armin is eren bringing them into the paths and speaking with them. Ron , if you rewatch you won’t see what Eren was going through because it wasn’t happening then. However, it does say mikasa and eren spent four years together before he died in the paths so that’s extra time so to speak and armin referenced that when eren met him

Ahkenaton Furdge

Ron always drink the water when the tears start flowing

Honey

It has been a really great journey with y'all. To add on with what Ron said about how this story ties everything up so well and how it shows the cycle of this final episode with the first episode, if you go back to Armin's final line in this ep: "The story of what we've seen. Let's tell them all of it." and you go back to the very 1st episode, the first line you'll hear is Armin's narration of their story that he wishes to tell the world. This is a story about Mikasa's ultimate resolve, the audience watching from Eren's point of view being told to us by Armin. AOT is truly a masterpiece, not only does it deliver a cruel yet realistic message, but it also constantly gets our attention and interests through its action scenes and all of its mind-altering revelations at the same time. If you guys decided to rewatch and see through Eren's journey again, I would be super down for that. Unlike most anime, the rewatch-ability of AOT is highly recommended. There's just soo many hints scattered as well as the parallels being shown throughout the series. 1 example would be that in this last ep, the Marleyans pointing guns at the Eldians (at 1:24:20), asking them to prove that they're humans, Armin did the same thing he did when Eren was interrogated with cannons in S1E10 as Armin dropped all of his gears and proves his point to protect his people. And that's just one out of so so many! Nonetheless, even if you guys decided not to rewatch it, the emotions y'all experienced and understanding its message, is more than enough. So glad to be able to share this with you guys :)) Thank you Hajime Isayama for this unforgettable and one hell of a story T^T It's not that obvious that this is my #1 anime, is it? XD

Tututu

Ron I think u meant little mikasa and little eren for the shot glass

heavyweightyoe

Peak Anime. Was a pleasure enjoying the ride

Trinature

1:36:32 Eren has been dealing with knowing the future when he kissed historias hand. If u rewatch the scene u see the "flashbacks" and he changes drastically after that

Trinature

pretty sure those were Mikasa and Jean visiting Eren at the Tree

横山尚生

Thanks guys.I’m Japanese.So crying

Raden

Thanks for taking us on this journey with you. Been watching since 2013 and I still can't get over the finale. Isayama wrote an incredible story the likes we may never see again

Trinature

Before u rewatch i would LOVE to see some Character Breakdowns of Eren. The one by invaderzz is for sure the most popular one. The one by Sage's Rain is great too

C Nichole

Now rewatching Part 4 opening and ending again will hit harder....knowing its Eren's point of view and how he felt 💔 I love this series....absolutely amazing. Goodbye Eren🕊💚🤎

shouvik das

I started balling my eyes out when Levi cried man. We have never seen him show his emotions like that. He lost his squad in the first season to Annie, lost his two best friends in the ova, lost Erwin, lost all 30 of his newer squad to Zeke in the forest and then lost Hange. Throughout all this tragedy he never once shed a single tear, but the realization that all his comrades' sacrifice finally lead to something somewhat worthwhile made him cry. They were not tears of sadness but tears of happiness.

Pizza_Mozzarella

I love the message about how no one, not even Eren, is "special" at the end. He managed to stop titans from existing, but the cycle of humans longing for war never changs. It's and endless waltz between war and peace

Camila

Please watch the new ED song 🥹 Mikasa &Eren ✨🧡

Oceanboy____

The thing is that Eren’s goal was never to end all war in humanity. Eren’s goal was that his friends lived a long and happy life. And that’s exactly what happened. War will always be war. But this was the only way his friends would have happy long lasting lifes

Piranhaconda

This was basically the happiest it can get. Eren fulfilled his 2 main goals. His friends living a long live and getting rid of all titans.

Saith Uchiha

I never read the AOT manga. Was always team Eren. EREN IS THE GOAT.

mamimumemo

Actually Japanese official channel had a 30 minutes recap of AoT before final aired. The recap was in timeline wise, not the story order wise. Sadly it doesn't have english subtitle so I couldn't recommend it to you 🤧 Idk if anyone has the english version but I'll just put the link here. https://youtu.be/RmevBK8BOFs?feature=shared

A couple of years ago, right after season 2 of the anime finished airing, I saw a comment under a reaction channel that asked, "Why do you think Armin is the one narrating each episode?" It seemed like an odd detail but, as the show progressed, it felt more and more intentional. That question has stuck with me for years now. Midway through season 4, I thought I got an answer as we see Armin telling Annie everything that's going on while she's in the cocoon, but it wouldn't make sense for him to tell her/narrate everything from season 1. BUT FINALLY it makes perfect sense. He is the final commander of the Scouts, and it has always been the Scouts' job to survey beyond the walls and return home with what they learned. And in his last scene, after 3 years of surveying the new world, the commander of the Scouts is ready to make his report. "After all, everyone on Paradis will want to know. To know our story. To know why a bunch of people who tried over and over to kill each other would show up and call for peace. The story of what we've scene. Let's tell them all of it."

mamimumemo

I wasn't into AoT when the anime was hyped, only watched few episodes and left. But then my friend recommended to read manga, after I read it, I immediately fell in love with AoT. A few years later, MAPPA took over the anime in season 4, many people hated it but I actually love it so I started watching the anime again. WIT STUDIO did a great job gaining the audience, but as a manga lover, I want to thank MAPPA for did justice to the original Isayama art in the manga. Production wise, they also take time to make it, and I feel like it's a great decision they've made. Even though many peole complained, I'm glad MAPPA production team prioritized the quality than fast production for promotion. I guess the director really know what they're doing. I watched the documentary of AoT animators and they really put all the effort here. Hopefully MAPPA could give this environment to other anime as well.

mamimumemo

7:52 I'm still laughing at the fact Reiner was kinda awkward and got blown up by the gear because he hasn't been using it for a while 😂

Frankie

Fucking masterpiece of a show

Shikov

I love that last part showing how no matter what you try to do to stop war or achieve peace, given enough time, history does repeat itself and war is bound to happen no matter what. Even in our history, the 1st world war was called "The War to End All Wars"... In any case, that unfortunate end was obviously hundreds if not thousands of years in the future, and no longer relevant to the people that lived in this era, who at last got to live in peace, and the descendants they left behind. Eren's wish for them "to live long lives" ultimately came true. And Paradis Island's peace lasted far into the future. That final scene gives us closure while truthly representing human's inevitably destructive nature... TRULY A PEAK SHOW 💯💯🗣️🗣️🗣️

Tony Hong

Fun Fact: The bird that grabbed Mikasa's scarf at the end was called Parasitic Jaeger😢

Abigail Jerry

What a fuckin journey ❤️‍🔥⚔️❤️‍🔥 aot is goated forever

Zenru Renari

Eren is literally the embodiment of “You Are Your Own Worst Enemy”

Zenru Renari

This really was alot to take in. My second watch with you guys, I missed so much things(so did you guys but that’s okay, I didn’t catch them until now 😭) The story is so beautiful. Fingers crossed they make a spin off but I’m more than fine if they done. The story is amazing as is. I feel so badly for Mikassa and Armin. Mainly Mikassa cuz she must’ve lived her life just constantly thinking of Eren, even if she did meet some need guy eventually. Armin must’ve also been suffering too. Damn. But I like the ending because it’s realistic. Humanity is evil, this hateful cycle of constant killing and revenge will always remain. Which is why Eren said “let’s start over” and wanted to destroy the entirety of humanity because he knew, no matter what happens, so long as humans survive they’ll always resort to killing and war. So the cycle will never end.

J

Kimberly Bautista

I'm crying again with you two! 😭 It was a journey and I am glad I had the chance to go through it with you.

Thinking of the 4 years they spend together in that cabin 🥹🧡

3:34 sake is a sipping alcohol, but drink it how ever you enjoy. :)

Jamil Hope

I dont know if you guy’s noticed it. But the scene where mikasa said “see you later, eren” as He close his eyes was connected to the ep1/chapter 1, when He woke up under the tree. You can check the 1st chapter in manga or ep1. Before eren woke up under the tree there was a person that said “see you later, eren” it was an adult mikasa, thats why when he woke up eren told kid mikasa why her hair was long. Cause in his so called “long dream” mikasa’s hair was short(adult) thats prolly why mikasa said, see you later eren. Then in the end mikasa said “I wanna see you again” but unfortunately She cant anymore.

Masterpiece, Isayama is the goat

Dale Diaz

if you do the rewatch you should do it withi the dub! that way you're getting something new out of it AND the new perspective

D Tre

If you guys are confused during some parts of it, I’d suggest watching the YouTuber seatactics video of the ending explained for more of an analysis and understanding. What a journey tho guys!!

Ali I TWD

‏If anyone didn’t notice during the credits, it shows Eren’s friends visiting him from time to time, then it shows Mikasa is married to Jean with kids. After that it shows Mikasa had grown old, and she’s standing there with old Jean visiting him again. Finally, Mikasa is now dead and she is laying down beside his grave! ‏My theory on the kid and the dog in the end; maybe he’s one of Jean and Mikasa’s descendants and he wants to see Eren’s grave after probably hearing about his stories over and over! And maybe he’s the one who may restart the whole titans curse when we see him go through the tree just like what Ymir did before she got the power of the titans

Thomas Juino

i'd love to see you watch AoT again !!! please !!

Jhn

The GREATEST ANIME OF ALL TIME has finally come to an END :(( See you never, Ereehh~

Jhn

Mikasa x Jean is so random bahahah

Nita.J

I know that there’s a lot of debate about this ending. But I have to say this ending is a perfect way to wrap up this story. After all the shit that happened since the first episode, it’s obvious that it wouldn’t have that happy ending. I see people complain that after what Eren did, it was all for nothing. But actually, Eren did achieve his goal. It was to let his friends live a long life. Not to destroy all humanity, not to stop any war from happening in the future. Eren exchange his life for his friends’ happiness. Of course, it’s not the ending that we want but a great ending for the story.

Jayden

Perfect ending for a masterpiece

Wansleepygal

Check this link out. Even Mikasa VA cried when she had to say goodbye to Eren ... 😢 https://twitter.com/nhk_100CAM/status/1721903837135397191

asha

i think eren accomplished his goal in the end actually. he knew that war will never end but titans no longer existed so war wouldn't be be about titans. he wanted his friends to live long lives and they all did in the end. they showed mikasa in old age buried with is scarf. and also just to clarify eren didn't know everything when he was kid about what was going to happen, only when they had the medal ceremony did he see everything when he kissed historia's hand.

Maruey Coelho Paranhos

Guys, about Mikasa and Yrmir, no one is talking about it! T-T But what I could understand is that Yrmir wanted to know what Mikasa would do even if her lover was killing the world. And in the end, Mikasa showed her that even if they had unconditional love, they would have to make the right decision (in their case, it was killing who they loved) So in the end, Yrmir understood that if she hadn't saved King Fritz, it didn't mean she didn't love him, but that it would have been the right thing to do. That's why she rested. "It's not because you love someone very much that you have to let them do evil and/or remain impartial"

Wsgyan

You guys gotta start jojo now

Ali I TWD

It’s actually pretty clear in the manga in the extra pages that were released later on!

Ali I TWD

It’s actually pretty clear in the manga in the extra pages that were released later on!

Wybel

I think the ending scenes are for one self to interpret. There are a bunch of theories, which goes to show that no one knows for certain who the person with Mikasa is or what happened. Nothing has been confirmed. There's also the white lillies, which in Japan symbolizes purity. The ring on her finger doesn't necessarily mean she's married. A ring on the ring finger could also just mean you're in a relationship (with Eren in this case). I also don't get why Mikasa would marry Jean (or anyone at all), and give her life to that person when Eren is the one she truly loves. Again, nothing is confirmed, so no one knows.

Salahadine Abaine

The Israel Palestine conflict :EXPLAINED

Jamil Hope

Nope even in manga it’s not clear cause they never showed their faces(like why not show the face?) the one that confirmed it was the part were mikasa died, everything on that scene says alot, them white flowers means she remained pure or virgin. She had the scarf when she died but why didnt the lady who visited have it? meaning it could be jean with some lady like pieck or whatever. One thing is for sure, Mikasa died pure and virgin(her burial proved it) I also believed Jean and mikasa got together when I read the manga soon as it came out. But Isayama made it clear by adding more details in mikasa’s grave

JA

I have been feeling so empty since I finished watching the episode

Mango

BTW not sure if anyone mentioned this yet but the part where there was a crying baby in red. That baby sound was recorded from Eren's VA (Yuki Kaji) own baby.

Nate Banker

Doing the endings also afterwards?

Overbyte

This is true, this is just one of the direct conflicts preventing his friends from living their lives

Hussaw

We are all watching genocide unfold right now FREE PALESTINE

LilRigger

The shot glasses, lol. Y'all need to react to Attack on Titan: Junior High, haha!

Renzhong Zhu

Watched 7-8 reations on youtube and Im finally here for the last time, cried more than 10 times already. For me AOT is the 1st anime and only 1, Mappa really did a good job making the last episode so fantastic with the direction, animation, music and voice acting. Almost flawless ending for me, really enjoyed ur reactions, and im really looking forward to the rewatch reaction, pls make it on the schedule as soon as possible, believe me, lot of us want it for sure

bort

aot deserved a bitter sweet ending like this

Jose

Its an enlightening ending

Galaxy Shogun

Terrible ending nothing explained makes sense. I hope you guys rewatch after your hype wears off and you realize how awful it was. Poorly executed ending its a shame. Please dont paint Erens actions as heroic. The creator chose to be pro genocide and pro abuse in the end please advocate against that I will not accept that this is the truth there is hope in life please dont fall for the fake woke bs.

Alex Leclerc

nothing makes sense ? wait what ? you clearly understood nothing of what was happening xcD

Jahmilla

There’s some good AoT ending analysis videos on YouTube that gave me more insight, I watched one by SeaTactics I recommend it

Zongo

no need to waffle if you didnt understand it lmao

Eternals Developing

What are you even talking about, mate? There were telegraphs and hints at how this show was going to end at multiple locations throughout every single season. Not only was the ending exactly as what was foretold through the show, it's an absolutely amazing ending that perfectly fits with the theme and style of the show. If you didn't understand what was explained at the end of the show, then you are the one who should rewatch it.

Eternals Developing

What do you mean, random? It was shown in the first few episodes of the show that Jean had feelings for her and he's been consistent with that through all the seasons. Mikasa's only shown to have had feelings for Eren in the show, so we don't actually know what she thought, on a romantic level, about the other guys around her. Among the remaining named characters, though, Jean makes the most sense.

Jhn

Jean did show some interest in Mikasa in the earlier episodes, it doesn't necessarily mean that their relationship was set in stone or that it was a significant romantic plot point in the series. You can mention that many fans still view it as random because the anime primarily focused on the relationship between Eren, Mikasa, and Armin, and Jean's feelings were not a central theme or explored in-depth. It's all a matter of perspective and interpretation.

kirk poss

Well this is just an unhinged reaction. The creator chose to illustrate the reality of humanity and that there is a cycle of violence in the world. Its not pro genocide to depict reality in a fictional show. It doesn't mean the creator is for violence, like come on, a child knows better than that.

kirk poss

I don't know if you caught it but the young erin and miskasa at the tree at the end when he asked why are you crying is the start of the show in episode one showing erin already had those memories.

mamimumemo

I just watched behind the scene (100カメ) of this episode last night, and the baby that cried during the rumbling was Eren's VA's real baby 😂 VA debut in 0 years old 😂 The director asked Kaji (the VA) to record his baby son crying, because this story has a theme of succession.

Eternals Developing

Misaka and Eren are singing in the theme song that plays during the credits, not during the ED, I think. The song they sing in is called "To You, In 2000 or 20000 Years" and was made by Linked Horizon, while the ED is called "See You Later" and was made by Ai Higushi, who also made "Demon Child", the ED for season 4. As a side note, Armin sings in the new OP, "The Last Titan", also made by Linked Horizon. As with all OPs and EDs in AOT, having the lyrics translated will make a world of difference. If anyone is interested, they can be found translated at the following youtube channel, along with many other great tracks. https://www.youtube.com/@jamong_ccl/featured

Centt

Actually in Manga u guys can see more clearer on who is the one that visit Eren's grave. One of it is probably Mikasa & Jean that end up tgt & bring their child to visit Eren

Centt

Not that confirm tho..coz u can only see their back view..

John Ware

Trying to be different ay? Obviously taking this way too personal when it’s not even a story about our world. It made complete sense

Nate Banker

Hated the ending but still a great show leading up nonetheless, onto a brighter future!

Rye

Thank you guys for all the aot reactions!! What a crazy journey this has been for the past 10 years for many of us. Aot will forever be engraved in our hearts. You guys should also react to the new and final aot OP and ED on youtube. More guaranteed tears 😭🥹

Nita.J

Fun fact: the crying baby voice is actually Yuki Kaji’s (Eren’s voice actor) child

BeavZ

Thanks for the reactions that you guys do, if it wasn’t for you guys I wouldn’t have ever started this amazing show. I owe it all to you guys and I’ll be waiting and hoping for that rewatch with you guys.

Galaxy Shogun

You guys are all npc it’s always the same defense “You dont understand”. Yeah right! YOU don’t understand 🤦🏾‍♂️. It is a work of literature I am allowed to be critical, you should all grow up. You cant silence me. Eren instigated his own trauma (Lemme guess your gonna say he had no control)☺️. That was a terrible route for Isayama to take as it’s provably false, this canonically was the result of Eren being an idiot! He was a slave to his own stupidity. Defend it all you want i can write a dissertation on all the plot holes this last episode created. I will NEVER feel sorry for Eren.

Bri

Me pausing the video at 1minutes cause I have to get snacks and comfy,

Galaxy Shogun

If you’re morally bankrupt just say that. Of course I’m taking it personal im watching people defend literal genocide for the power of friendship, get real. You guys are sick for supporting a story that tries to frame the literal R*PE (of a minor mind you) as beautiful. If I’m wrong for being against those things I don’t wanna be right. This is some real nihilistic filth.

Noah

you should do a rewatch of aot to spot everything. id def watch

Isabell

and if she didn't sacrifice herself for King Fritz, he wouldn't had force their kids to eat her body and the future would be a different one (and maybe titans wouldn't exist after her anymore?). That's why Mikasa said that she only lives because of Ymir and her 'wrong' desicion

Yoona Kim

anyone know Historia husband is ?

Galaxy Shogun

When the Author frames those actions as the best choices when it clearly wasn’t I have to suggest otherwise… Im glad i warn born into this world… and massacred 80% of the world for my friends who are also murders for a problem I caused and had the power to fix but chose literally not too “because i’m a idiot” And he expects us to just nod our head and go YAH THAT MAKES SENSE TEHEHEEHEE. Get real.

Ivan Arias

AOT world is and always will be fucked up. There wasnt really any way to fix the worlds views on Eldians. Eren knew what he was gonna do from his future memories and yea like he said there probably were other ways but he’s not a genius he did what he saw in his memories because thats what he knew and he knew that no matter what he does the world will still be at war so he decided to take the route of the rumbling because that was probably his best chance of achieving his “freedom” while also saving some of his friends from immediate death. It wasnt his only option but it was probably the only one that had an actual chance of achieving his goals

Slizzle

Why? She was only 19 I think when she killed eren, and we know she died of old age, do you really want her to live the next 60 or something years of her life all alone after eren? Either way I don’t think the author 100% confirmed whether she did marry or not so who knows

Afraz

I dont think it was all for nothing for eren because his goal was that his friends live a long life and because of his actions they would be able to live a long life as they are normal. I dont think he really intended to end world conflict just that his friends are taken care of and we see that mikasa had a family n everything and died old.

J Austin

I think it ended perfectly. Eren accomplished all of his goals. He gave his remaining loved ones the opportunity of a long life and rid the world of Titans the way he said he would in the first episode. His sins catch up to him with his being killed. Everything in the credits adds to it because AOT has never been a show where a happy ending was possible. The cycle continues long after Eren and all of the characters have been forgotten.

Afraz

I dont know why people hated the ending please explain to me. This was fulfulling for me

Redback

i hope u guys at least watch shows on a monitor and not a laptop. but great reaction

Bri

Me waiting for the reaction 🤝🏻me not being able to see the reaction cause I was bawling my eyes out

Bri

The boy who sought freedom but was a slave to freedom, he didn’t get to see what he most wanted, but he sacrificed himself to give his loved ones and friends a chance to live a peaceful life, Attack On Titan #1 anime no anime will be able to top it

Bri

Please react to the attack on titan ending, “itterasshai” it’s beautiful eren and mikasa live happily ever after

Nick

Seconding the re-watch idea.

swindlehadyn

you are talking about "woke" shit in ANIME? Nah, lets forget that, but you hate this ending so much you think their minds will change? Dawg, you watched them react to the media and then enjoy it. Your opinion is YOURS and not an objective truth. Wake up bro.

Subzero Anime

From a manga reader stand point a lot of things in the manga wasn't clear and it felt rushed, I was left mixed about the ending when I was the manga. However, the anime really pulled everything together, made sense of it all and I love the anime ending for clearing up the issues I had with the manga.

Yoona Kim

The part where Jean and Conny were together that was such a cool scene

kirk poss

You do know a show can show awful things without supporting it. If a movie portrayed a world war and was on the side of the bad guys that shows nothing about the morals of the writer. It’s called a show and it’s fiction. I can’t believe i have to explain this to an adult.

Galaxy Shogun

It’s not an opinion that he went back on all his themes and made a mockery of the story it is not an opinion he LITERALLY did that. You guys refuse to be even 1% critical about this story its like talking to a wall

shootie-san

I like to see it as Eren brought peace for Paradis for at least a century maybe a few centuries so everyone he knew and loved got to live in peace until the end of their lives but then after that shit hit the fan and the cycle started again. In my opinion I think it’s a great ending. Maybe the best. Solidified it as my favorite anime and even story in general, ever. Good thing too because the tattoo I have might’ve been a little awkward lol.

Well congratulations and highest praises to Hajime Isayama, all of the staff at Wit Studios and all of the staff at MAPPA who brought one of the greatest fictional stories of all time to fruition. The modern anime that basically brought the medium to the mainstream, the influence and lasting effect of this story will never be understated

And just to tag on at the end, if you do find the concept of tragedies of war and the lasting effects of it brought to anime form, 86 is an ongoing anime that brings forth a lot of the same talking points that AOT does. A little bit more on the nose but still does it well

iu

found a filthy disgusting terrorist ^

SoySauce

I saw a comment say that the reason Mikasa was the answer to everything was because Ymir wanted to see Mikasa kill Eren. This is a reflection of what could have happened if Ymir killed King Fritz.

Undoubtedly one of the anime that will go down in history. The animation, story, music, voice acting – everything was perfect!!! By the way, the baby's cry we heard in this episode is actually the real cries of Kaji-san (Eren's VA)'s little child!! Debut as a voice actor at the age of zero!😅😅wow

BowlCutNinja

crazy that its finally over.... been watching since ep 1 came out

Anguis Viridis

Great reaction, worthy of this last eisode! Absolutely on target, emotionaly - tears for Mikasa and Eren. Truly, it's a perfect ending for this show.

JT

That's what I mean, there was no ed for the the anime but it is available to watch online.

killilu

imma be honest everything from ep1 of this anime to the 2nd half of this movie was peak fiction but idk how to feel about the ending.

killilu

based on the ending i cant wait for aot 2.0 to drop LMAO

Roux

Yep. She saw that their freedom was taken away from them just like hers was. So she released them which was very symbolic.

Savannah cat

The scene towards the end showing the different path Ymir’s life could have taken if she hadn’t taken the spear for the king and just continue to live on with her daughters was just.. heartbreaking. This whole movie was just heartbreaking

Andrej Simic

Eren didn't plan it as a kid. He was just shown as a kid with Armin to Symbolize there friendship from the beginning to the end it all Happens in the paths waht we saw im the end with them together

Hussaw

How could you say that after witnessing everything that is happening? Heartless scum zionist.

Wybel

Well, I obviously wanted her to live a happy life. I mean, she does have all her close friends. I just don't get why she would marry someone when she clearly only loves Eren. But the point of this comment was that no one knows and you can interpret it your own way, not that Mikasa didn't marry anyone.

iu

so you admit to supporting terrorists. damn you people aren't even trying to hide it 🤣i guess terrorism is the new cool trend these days. not even a zionist btw, just not in favor of people being gunned down at music festivals. you on the other hand? yikes.

Gr!zZ

What a good ride that was, good times with good friends. Let’s stop to get some gas and on to the next one! Love y’all ❤️

Abel J Lopez

its funny to I live in a town called Erwin in North Carolina

Alex Perez

Seems like at the end credits, the Marleyans held that grudge for a MINUTEEEEE😪😭

Hussaw

Where on earth did i say i support terrorists? Israel has been eradicating palestinians for a century and palestine finally retaliates and theyre the terrorist. Please do your research. There are hundreds of videos of israelies slaughtering, bombing and torturing palestinians and you say the music festival? How dare you. Go do your research and open your eyes. The jews own media they show you what they want.

Hussaw

Arguing with someone who gets all there information from tiktok will never end well

Hussaw

your response proves youre a zonist that just despises muslims in general. I say free palestine and you immediately call me a 'filthy disgusting terrorist' just say it straight you hate muslims.

Justin Walkins

As of special 1 I had the finale at a 9/10. After this ending I put it down to a 5/10. Everything up until (spoilers for episode ahead) his head got cut off, I accepted and appreciated, loved even. But I didn't sit here for 100 episodes for a tragic ending and bla bla bla. Yawn, boring. Overall the ending doesn't RUIN the show I'd say, but it DEFINITELY chunks the ending... I just wanted the reasonable ending of him wiping out the militaries, undoing the Ymir curse, or titans altogether, by killing Ymir or something, and then have a happy ending for him and Mikasa dating. From there show the rest of the end where the island gets nuked or whatever, I don't care. But this ending just felt poorly written for me. Oh well, another "tragic end waa waa" for the books, great show, shit ending.

I don't think you have any idea what good writing is. It is very well written. What you described would be completely out of character for Eren and the tone of the show.

Austin Brown

What I love about the epilogue is that Ymir found the tree out of desperation and it was her one chance to escape death. The kid and his dog find it out of pure curiosity so it doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll gain the power of the titans. Anything could happen bc he’s searching for understanding not salvation. Beautiful how one scene with no dialogue or even a character’s name can say so much.

Froxy Fox Foxy

What a sad stupid ending. I knew I shouldn't have watch it.. I did it cuz I liked the reaction cuz speaking of myself I would have never watch it alone. The endless cycle of conflict that will reapeat itself over and over and over again, until all the humanity would be gone. Now this is a real outcome but to put it in an anime is to far off a sad ending..
