In episode 77 "Light vs. Dark: The Two Faces of Gaara" of OG Naruto, you should be able to get all the information about Gaara's tattoo. Where it came from and the meaning. You are right about the love meaning, but at that point in Gaara's journey it meant "Love only yourself" (clearly shown on screen, at least on Crunchyroll).

The reason for Gaara's tattoo was long explained in OG Naruto. In his flashback, after his uncle (who has been the only person that was nice to him the entire time) tried to kill him, Gaara got this tattoo on himself. You can see it in his flashback, I think you guys just forgot. And yes, it means love, and the reason he tattooed it on himself was because his uncle told him that his mother wanted him to only love himself

It's not a spoiler. The word on Gaara's forehead literally means love in Japanese Kanji. Even the Chinese read it as love in Chinese. They did explain how Gaara got his forehead tattoo back in OG Naruto. Also, titles are not really spoilers since it is part of the show. It's those telling people not to read the title because they had watched the show and know the title may kind of spoil. Nobody is going to know if Gaara really dies like the title says if you guys just keep quiet and let them watch. Same goes for the opening and ending song. Nobody is going to know if there are spoilers if those who know the story just keep quiet. They can guess and predict all they want when they watch them.
