Hopefully you guys watch Legend of Korra after finishing this show. I'm not saying it's better than ATLA but Legend of Korra has some really great characters and the animation is even better.

If this is how y'all feel about the first two episodes, then you're in for one of the greatest journeys you can ever take with a show. I've been watching anime for years and nothing tops ATLA for me. Even if y'all don't feel the same, its such a special series

I think Appa's flying ability actually has to do with airbending, if I remember correctly. But it's not a big plotpoint in the show. There is a brief explanation for why Appa can fly in one of the episodes tho.

So to explain every region it’s fire nation , water tribes , earth kingdom , and air nomads. Aang can also control the air around him to keep from freezing in the South Pole , just like he controls the air currents around him to help him fly on his glider. Also to help with ages aang is 12 , katara is 14 sokka is 15 , and zuko is 16

Honestly, one of the best shows!! It’s not an anime but it honestly feels like one! I love this show so much! Ron you’ll love this show a lot! Especially since I remember you saying you love elemental concepts so you’ll enjoy it. The story, the plot, the characters, the fighting, you’ll love everything!! I’m getting nostalgic 😭😭 this is one of my comfort shows. It’s soo gooodd!! The power concept, also once you learn about the Avatar you’ll see how that concept was inspired in many anime’s.

It's technically not an anime but it can be considered one, but it doesn't really matter wether it is or isn't. Its an amazing show that rivals many anime. Just because you live in Japan doesn't make your opinion correct.

My opinion is correct because i speak Japanese and have alot of Japanese friends. All animated shows are called anime in Japanese. There is no difference between cartoon and anime. Only weebs make that shit up to feel special

Yes, in Japanese all animation (including things like 3D animation like pixar/dreamworks movies) is called anime, even things like western cartoons.
