Michelle & Ron's reasoning is exactly why I don't understand why Subaru turns Rem down or why Emilia stans are so fervent about it. Literally up until this point, nothing has happened with Emilia yet it's being compared to as cheating and such is mind boggling to me lol. I'm with you Michelle! Team Rem!

I've never understood why people think Subaru is obligated to like Rem in a romantic way, especially when it's prefaced with an attack on Emilia. Subaru has made it perfectly clear that he views Rem as a very important, dear friend, and it's totally fine for him to feel that way. Just to be clear, I don't have an issue with people making fanart, writing fanfiction, or being vocal about who they ship together. However, I think it's important to remind the class that feelings and (healthy) relationships aren't transactional. Rem would probably sell BOTH of are kidneys if it meant making Subaru happy, but that doesn't mean he owes her a relationship, nor does it mean he'll develop romantic feelings for her. These are fictional characters, yes, but this isn't an Otome game. Doing nice things for the person you care about, while wholesome, doesn't guarantee you a spot in their heart.

Well, some say that it's difficult to fall in love with a girl who tortured you for 2 hours with a smile on her face before killing you (Light novel). People are surprised that he chose the kind girl vs the obsesive one? Hope it ends in harem for every team's sake, but people dont usually change who they like in a heartbeat haha

Emilia saved him since day one, gave him shelter and affection, I love Rem too, but saying Emilia did nothing for him is really exaggerating (plus: Emilia never killed him lol)

The whale has two fog skills, one to hide and hinder the enemies vision (the wider one) and the other one he uses several times to try to hit Subaru, which focuses and has less range, the one that erases them from existence (eating their memories and their names, it will be better explain later on)

yeah, I can't agree with that. Wasn't Beatrice the one that saved him with the healing? The only thing I can really agree with is that she gave him shelter. The affection imo is a huge stretch, she's been super cordial which is nice but.... personally I still don't understand

The thing is some people like me haven't read or even got to season 2 yet or up to date with the story. Just in season 1 makes you like rem a lot to a point where there's no reason to not go for rem. Again, just by only having the context of season 1.

I love the respect subaru gets from this episode. It really is a huge W after having so many awful situations happen to him. Incase it helps too. It has technically only been a day or 2 since his fight with Julius. So people could easily see his proclamation of being emilias knight as not just being a silly boast but a serious claim that they now respect. Are you guys going to watch the directors cut for final episode of the season or just watch the normal episode?
