Really don't know why some people don't lie this show. Like yea maybe season 1 can be hard to follow sometimes but season 2 will FOR SURE get you emotionally invested with the characters and the story

Tony Wallace

Sorry let me be more clear the premise of the show is ingenious the main character annoying and stupid it’s him I don’t like I just can’t stand him

Prateek Sridhar

I was looking at it more like if I was living the life Subaru is living, I would've been frustrated with having to deal with everything he has to, and he can't brush it aside. I would've found a way to actually die and not come back. I agree with what Michelle was saying in the beginning in that way.

suby

Well that was what the authors point the first season, just makes his development better later on.

Mouson

You shouldn't stop the episodes just because you see some credits. Many animes in their episodes have some scenes during their openings or endings. You could end up missing some important moments and info, not only in re:zero.

suby

Outside of Yang magic Puck also said that Subaru has a incredibly high spirit affinity just like Emilia

Tony Wallace

I was young when I first watched it so I understand why I stopped I couldn’t comprehend the stuff he was going through but his personality still sucks to me but I like how I rewatching it with everyone so I can read the comments see people’s pov and also here what Ron and Michelle has to say about it. Still keeping an open mind now

suby

Yeah i agree with the frustrating part, i feel like that's how Subaru might feel too with looping. Outisde of frustrating it's also pretty interesting, the author leaves like a couple "?" In the first loops and with each loop some get answered until you can connect everything, the author also does it in a way that it also stays unpredictable. With each rewatch of this show i find out more and more clues/foreshadowing. I'm loving you guy's reactions btw very enjoyable, keep it up :)!

Prateek Sridhar

The night Subaru is so afraid of and has died a few times before on, is the night of the second day. So the night he just survived at 14:10 wasn't the night he kept dying on. The upcoming night is the real one to watch out for, the second night. He survived the second night this time because Emilia helped smooth over with Rem, and noone went to the village yet so noone was cursed.

snoobcat

Yea I kind of get where you're coming from. You don't watch anime to follow a dumb main character in the first place. But hey, we get the chance to see his backstory and see why he's is who he is. That's why season 2 for me solidifes the show for me !

Mouson

Subaru usually dies the 4th day at night, because that's the day he goes to the village (explained in this episode). This time he's going to the village on the 3rd day. And now Ram is accompanying them.

Rahyuu

Can't wait for you guys to get to the LITTT moments of this show.

Taiga

No, it was said, the night he died on was the 4th day, not 2nd.

Lye Batenkaitos

Hey Rice - to answer your question, Mouson also explained it, But in every loop, subaru dies on the 4th night. He usually survives the first few days but always dies on Night 4.

daniel kurtz

Don't expect a clear answer as to why Subaru got Isekai'd. It is left mostly ambiguous later into the show

Yumaaa

I'm pretty sure the next episode is when it really picks up.

Justin Yong

Agreed, for a first isekai this can he a hard one to follow but it has has great moments and answers a lot of questions later on through the loops. It has a lot of mystery that gets paid off later on.

Kite

At some point you'll come to cringe or hate Subaru, but I advise you to continue watching.

SWAGxMAGICIAN

He always dies on the 4th night, the night that he was crying and throwing up was the 2nd night. This show leaves a lot of things open ended for most of the arcs but slowly wraps up every plot point that you have questions for over the course of Subaru’s loops. It really rewards paying attention. That’s why this show is a masterpiece in character development, story writing, and plot twists. It’s very hard to predict what will happen, but there’s still hints to it so it’s not like an ass pull. It hasn’t been answered yet as to why Subaru got transported, it’ll be probably revealed at the end of the series. It’s the main over-arching question of the series, like what is the One Piece in One Piece.

Seba Andorade

I love ron make the same question i had when watched it

Nabil

Subaru is my favorite character ever, but at one point it's impossible not to cringe...

Antonius K

Due to the nature of Subarus circumstance, you will have instances where it feels like the show is moving slow or is repetitive since it takes a couple loops for Subaru to figure out the best outcome. Watching this show, I would say to focus more on Subaru and how he grows as a character as opposed to why he is there and what is going on in the world. I really hope you give this story the benefit of the doubt because this is one of my favorite anime and it really has some powerful messages. Looking forward to the next couple of episodes✌️much love

Itscurlyman

HUNTER X HUNTER?

Astrea Stars

I love Subaru and Rezero but man, I forgot how much weaker the first two arcs are compared to the rest.

TChang23

The first two arcs are the slowest and hardest to get through imo but it’s peak fiction from there on

Bungkai

imo, first season was the best season. shit falls off the rails in the middle of 2nd season

Mr Ri

Lol...2nd season is literally the best season especially the 2nd part of the season

Bungkai

Eh, hard disagree. Loses its magic. First season had a lot of strengths that the 2nd part of the season loses partly in nature of Subaru's given ability and its unwillingness to dive into other character's development. The world building sucks as well and its a shame because the first season gave me a really good glimpse into what was possible with this show

Mr Ri

Ok. Whatever Rem fan. You just salty Rem had not much screentime in 2nd season. That's all

Volksradio

He didn't even mention Rem, retard. The fact that you brought her up means you must be in the 1 percent of fans that actually think Emilia is a good character, and are salty that everyone likes Rem more lmao

Bungkai

Lol watching with these guys for a second time solidified my views that the first season is the better season by far. Emilia honestly isn't a very good character being overshadowed by minor characters in the series constantly across the second season (Ram, Beatrice, Otto, Roswaal) with her only "strength" being a weak hapless girl that constantly needs Subaru's attention. I can't recall another anime that has the female lead be this bad. Maybe she gets redeemed in season 3, but the story has already set up that Subaru is unreasonably in love with a common cliché damsel in distress.

ChunniTensei

I personally like Emilia more but I only started liking her more than rem after the 2 season and the ova's. The first season just didnt give her the character development and the love she needed. Granted Rem was a potato the whole season but that gave Emilia the screen time she needed.

ChunniTensei

Low key is a clown for not understanding the whole part 2 of the second season. Emilia stopped being a damsel and started actually doing stuff after she got her memories back. She started feeling like a substitute main character for the sanctuary when Subaru was gone. Even was he wasn't gone. She backed Subara in everything he needed like against Garfeil and the rabbits.

Mu Nanyo

I wont name the animes incase of spoilers but there are far worse female leads. Sakura, Asuna, Even Elizabeth is straight up just fanbait and offers very little aside from a few storylines. Its a cultural trope problem i think. And with subaru he is a romantic and a fan of the isekai trope and so of course he pines for the adorably cute damsel in distress type.

Mu Nanyo

Yeah, watching it for the characters is a whole iceberg of its own, it fits nicely into the isekai category but has personal growth lessons for anime otakus and neets to learn from.

J

its crazy how many comments i see about people hating subaru i found him relatable and funny. in this episode i do admit be was a bit much but by the end you can empathize with him after all, he’s been through so much it only makes sense why he’s being so extra
