Hey Michelle, to clarify your question about the past Founding Titans influencing Eren, their will and influence does not carry over to him because he isn't of royal blood, which is why his dad took it from the Reiss family; to break the cycle of King Fritz's influence to stay hidden behind the walls. The reason he needs Zeke is because he cannot start the rumbling without making contact with someone with royal blood to use the full power of the Founding Titan

armins feelings for annie is defnitely not cuz berth is his predec man, they just both happen to like her. Also titan shifters can see some memories of their predecessors but the predecessors defnitel do not control the current titan shifter

2 things everyone is saying- The predecessor doesn't take over, Eren and Armin are themselves and do whatever they want, the predecessor doesn't control them or even influence them. So Eren is not being controlled neither is zeke or Armin. Second I think everyone agrees you should watch the intro its part of the show we all watched it and it doesnt spoil anything u dont know.

Ron answering your question about how Marley thinks they basically feel like if they have the founding powers THEY would be in peace, as you have seen in the previous episodes Marley is all about its military power so that they can invade as many countries as they can, so by having the founding power they won’t face a stronger opponent. That’s exactly why Zeke didn’t tell them his plan of making Eldians not able to have children because they will either stop or kill him for that since it means losing a huge war asset on their side. They care about peace that they make, not the world’s peace. Anyways, guys try to enjoy both the voice acting and the music in this part ITS INSANEEE

The reason marley wants to take the founding titan is because they are afraid that paradise will release the 10's of millions of colossal titans in the walls to flatten the world. If the founding titan is in marley's hand they wouldn't let it happen.

I keep seeing people bring up “everyone watched it their first time” as a reason for reactors TO watch it which doesn’t make any sense lol. It also isn’t even true. Some people know better and skipped or averted their eyes. Regardless, it’s a simple problem. If they are ok with being spoiled, watch it. If they want to go in completely blind, skip it. Not a big deal either way. And in regards to OPs “being apart of the show and meant to be there”, OPs are generally meant to get the viewer hyped up, in the mood and interested/invested. It’s a “hook”. If you already feel that way towards a show there’s no necessity to watch an OP, ESPECIALLY an AoT OP which are famous for being quite spoilery.

Hey while we're at it you all should tell everyone to skip every anime opening ever because newsflash, every single one contains content from the show :) just as the previous aot openings did, just as the demon slayer openings did, just as the vinland saga openings do, and it doesnt affect viewing in a negative way. The next couple episodes are some of the best in modern media and I don't think parts of it need to be spoiler just because "every first timer watched and so should you". I feel like a lot of people are being a bit extra with claiming everything is a spoiler, they typically only watch the intro & outro once and skip it every other time so its not like they’ll be watching it on loop to dissect the intro to gather whatever hints are included. Every anime intro gives hints to stuff occurring during that specific arc, and it seems silly to say its spoiler when its just snippets showed without a lot of context. Maybe my definition of a spoiler is different…

I did not read the manga and I would have been bummed out seeing a spoiler in the intro. Luckily my brothers did read the manga and watched the show before me so they skipped the intro for me and it made it way better being surprised as what came. If you like spoilers, cool. I don’t. Most people don’t. They will surely watch the intro after.

Good choice with skipping the intro. I’d recommend watching until after episode 22 to avoid the spoilers in it. As far as why Marley wants the founding titan, it’s mostly to keep it out of the hands of the royal bloodline. Zeke and historia are the ones with royal blood, so if Marley has it, it’s pretty much useless but at least it can’t be used against them

Also both of you have to remember that Armin and Annie already were fond of each other. It was a love triangle even before Armin “became” Bertolt. You are putting to much emphasis on inheriting traits from past user, it is basically just there memories.

I think the rest of the world knows marley can't use the founding titan because they don't have a titan with royal blood. The rest of the world thought that the fritz/reiss family was still in possession of the founding titan and that they could release the wall titans at any time. Not knowing that the king wanted peace and that he made a vow renouncing war. When willy tybur told the public this during his speech, people started asking why are we so damn afraid of the island. Then willy tybur revealed that the world is again in great danger since eren now has the founding titan and he is not bound by the vow renouncing war and that he once used the power of the founding titan without them knowing how since he isn't royal.

The reason that the Marley people believe that they need the founder to protect the world is because Eren is the first founder who is not of royal blood who is able to get around the vow renouncing war that king fritz put in place it’s what Willy Tibur was talking about that Eren was a threat and the whole world believes that now because of what he did when they invaded marley. In Willy’s speech he talked about how king fritz actually wanted peace and would be ok with the downfall of the eldians if it happened hence the vow renouncing war but Eren isn’t of royal blood so he isn’t bound by those beliefs.

I would like to point out that there was never any indication that Annie had feelings for bertholdt. It was obvious he had a crush on her but that doesn’t necessarily mean those feelings went both ways. There’s a decent chance the love could have been unrequited in this case.

well during the war in the opening episode of season 4, they clearly elaborated that titan powers are on their way out. They're not as invincible as before, and when planes are finally invented, that would spell the end for titan usefulness. The founding titan has the ability to wake MILLIONS of COLOSSAL titans that are sleeping inside the walls, in other words, it has the ability to destroy the world at anytime. So no it's not naive to think that when they have the founder they would literally save the world.
