Just a warning that if this gets you emotional, be prepared. Naruto pulls on the heartstrings wayyyyy harder later on

"He might be my favorite character" is phrase you'll say a lot while watching Naruto lol. The cast is so good.

Luis Villatoro

little Japanese lesson lol Usuratonkachi ( うすらとんかち ) just means thin hammer in Japanese, pretty much its like calling someone useless like a "thin hammer".. you cant use it to do what hammers do. old Japanese insult

I just learned that there's a real "Great Naruto Bridge" in Japan

Sasuke woke up bc Haku was hitting too much vital spots and when something gets penetrated like those needles don’t ever pull those out bc you won’t be able to stop the bleeding

Mikaele Rosecrans

Mikaele Rosecrans

i honestly liked the dub version in the original naruto way more. Gaara sounds way more intimidating imo

Mikaele Rosecrans

I like a lot of voices too like Jiraya’s Nagato’s Madara’s Naruto’s Shikamaru’s like it’s awesome

Am I the only one that just noticed that Zabuza was unable to use his arms like Inari's dad in the end. The symbolism may have been unintentional, but it's crazy.

There is something that doesn't come across in the translations that I think is super cool and that is the honorifics that the characters use when addressing each other. You'll hear Sakura use -kun when addressing Sasuke and Naruto. They use -sensei for Kakashi (since he is their teacher) and you'll typically hear them use -san when addressing most adults. Inari uses -niichan when addressing Naruto. Naruto-niichan. This is the suffix used when addressing an older brother. (I think Konohamru uses it as well). It's a subtle thing that doesn't come across in the translation, but you can see how Inari sees Naruto as the arc goes on. He sees him as an older brother.

Ninja is a general word used to call both male and female ninjas. Ninjas are assassins and spies in feudal Japan. A male ninja is called Shinobi. A female ninja is called Kunoichi. So in order to officially be a ninja you need to pass and graduate from the academy. A ninja has different levels/ranks: Genin, Chunin, Jonin and Kage(pronounced as car-gay). In general, Genin - is the lowest rank of ninja. Chunin - you will need to pass the Chunin exams to level up from Genin. I will not explain as you will see how difficult it is to level up even at this level in the anime. Jonin - Kakashi and the instructors level. They are generally highly skilled, experienced and able to lead. Kage - are the strongest ninja and the pillar in their hidden village. the most important role and person. There is usually only one kage in each village unless the previous one retires.
