there's not an official release date for s2 but with MAPPA's schedule and how much stuff they're working on it's expected to be 2024-2026 :((

MAPPA has JJK dropping July 2023, AOT Season 4 Part 3 dropping early 2023, Vinland Saga dropping Jan 2023, and new anime Jigokuraku(Hell's Paradise) dropping Jan 2023 and news just got in that they are taking on One Punch Man Season 3 project. They have got a lot on their hands. With this crazy schedule, Chainsaw Man Season 2 will probably only be released in 2024 or 2025, if they push it maybe earliest end of 2023.

The Ghost Devil scene was pretty crazy. I took the cigarette as an interpretation of the Ghost's bond with Himeno and that she had the cigarette saved as celebratory smoke when they finally managed to take down the Gun Devil, which clearly didn't get to happen unfortunately.

Shonen Jump app is like 3 bucks a month and has all chapters (except one I think cause it has like nudity if I remember, you can read that one on the website though, just not in app) if you don't mind reading digital. Part 2 is currently releasing as well, so new chapters are dropping every week or so.
