Supposedly an anime adaptation of the entire Akira manga series is in the works, so I've been holding off on watching the movie. I might have to check it out if we don't get a release date soon. Lol

I'm glad you guys get to watch this! Now that you have you'll probably notice so many things that we're inspired by Akira like Stranger Things and even Kanye West's Stronger music video. Also crazy things to note is that the entire movie is hand drawn

So yea.Tetsuo did nothing wrong... he only adopted the powers when he ran into Takashi, and the army just accented him further... but yea, he always had that, it just never manifested til that moment 🙃 That, and he was MUCH older than any of the others as well
