I really like your guys's reactions but when you're constantly comparing one show to another or one character in one show to another character in a different show then both shows kind of lose what makes them both important like can you please stay focused on this story and not have to constantly compare it to something else because when you do you're going to lose the merit of what you're watching. I mean personally I highly detest demon Slayer like me personally I don't like it at all and I don't even think that it's written very well but that's irrelevant. I would say this about any show being compared to another show. Let it stand alone as its own art and story if I wanted to watch demon Slayer I would go watch it LOL but please keep continuing the show I enjoy your reactions a ton when that's not happening

About the anime terminology I thought you were referring to... There are a lot of series with common themes that can catagorized by certain terms; Issekai shows generally deal with being transported to another world Ex: ReZero/ReincarnatedSlime/TokyoRevngers), but shows like Demon slayer/My hero academia/ jujutsukaisen would be referred to as power fantasy (superpowered protagonists w/ the works) & There's series that are sometimes romcoms but usually focusing more on regular life and the human condition are called "Slice Of Life" Animes Ex: Your Lie In April/Violet Evergarden/Fruits Basket. These terms are not always exclusive (and I'm sure there's more classifications) as plenty of anime mix various themes I.e. Attack On Titan. Hope this helped even if it is a bit of a loaded comment

About the soundtrack for Demon Slayer - Akaza vs Rengoku, I discovered this much later in some comment saying that the lyrics being spoken are - "I am on fire!" I can't get it out of my head now haha. I listen to that soundtrack once every week to pump myself up.

Love your reactions, but you do an awful lot of "this reminds me of" or "he/she reminds me of". Each story stands/falls on its own merits. Same as any English show - if you watch X-men, Superman, Avengers etc spending all your time comparing one to the other, you'll lose the opportunity to be involved in whatever you are watching. Also, MHA was written before Demon Slayer. So if you want to compare one character to another, it's Demon Slayer reminding you of MHA, not the other way around! Some shonen shows are darker than others. And some start off light, but then get progressively darker. And then there are some shows that are technically "shonen" (I class those as basically ones written in shonen magazines, whose main target audience is teen boys) that I feel aren't for kids at all!

2023-01-16 01:09:36 I'm sure you've learned more about this by now (I'm late to the party), but Shonen, Shojo, Seinen, etc. are more like genres. They're meant to give a reader an idea of what they're in for when they read it. So Shonen, which literal translation is 'young boy' (Which Almight calls Deku a lot 'Midoriya Shonen'), is aimed at young boy readers who are more into action, fighting, etc. Therefore Shojo, aimed towards young girls, is more romance, love, & cutesy content. Now a lot can crossover and be categorized in multiple genres, but it can help steer people clear of genres they may not be into that has more graphic content. Example being boy/girl love genres which are usually pretty innocent and focus more on the story telling, vs yaoi/yuri which is still boy/girl love but is pretty graphic. And if you're not ready for that content........some might get scarred for life. So just a good thing to keep in mind when deciding to read a manga or watch an anime. And that concludes my terribly late & maybe irrelevant lesson!
