Nagato legs was burnt fighting hanzo so his mobility was done for that why he was placed in that thing when speaking with Naruto. Using the gedo statute the (giant thing used to suck up the tail beast from the host.) drains him of his chakra and life force.

To answer your question the geto statue drains Lifeforce, so in the flashback, when all the black rods went into him…*pause* Basically took away much of his actual life. I think he was in the mechanical, spider looking machine, because in the flashback you saw his legs were severely burned. Naruto is my favorite anime but I admit it does have some plot holes. This is just my best explanation for that.

OK I get it. I’m commenting a lot on this specific episodes. The higher-ups which includes Danzo think he is best suited to be the Hokage, because they believe the same beliefs that he does in a way. Most high ranking countries the elites want someone to think like them, so he would be elected.

this is personally the first time i've seen the subtitle about synchronizing with the statue. i think it's just how each akatsuki member was able to teleport to the statue to participate in meetings/extracting the tailed beast but i honestly have no clue. just a guess might be completely wrong 😂

Everyone gets danzo wrong, Danzo has absolute loyalty towards leaf village and thats his problem here. He will never betray the village but he is also power hungry and evil. He will do any and everything possible protect the village including underhand methods. Those who are not with the village are his enemies period. Having said that, his methods are absolutely brutal there's no question about that. And yes sakura is absolutely useless and you'll never be wrong in saying that.

I hope you read my comment. Starting now is a moment in Shippuden where there are a lot and I mean A LOT of annoying flashbacks that can last 15 minutes. Please feel free to skip them, every reactors hated the flashbacks. The plot is still really really dope if not better but the flashbacks will ruin your experience !

Terrible idea, the flashbacks are significant so that people like these two that can't remember anything because they're reacting to 20 different anime can have those moments drilled into their heads for emotional impact later on when the plot connects those moments. Remember when Kakashi used most of his Chakra fighting deidara it took him like weeks to recover. Then when he used all of his Chakra fighting pain (yahiko) he basically died. Tsunade used all of her Chakra using her Justu to protect everyone so she technically was on the verge of death so she's in a coma recovering.

Guys, the gedo statue is not what you say. The gedo statue is the one we have seen every time a jinchuriki is captured, the one with the 9 eyes where the akatsuki meet. What Tobi was trying to say is that he can't replace Nagato so quickly by synchronizing Sasuke with the statue, since I believe that each Akatsuki is synchronized with it by the time they have to do these rituals with each jinchuriki and give them to the statue. I clarify this because it is not a spoiler since we have already seen the statue, they just don't mention it's name much.

I've seen this show a few times now, and their dynamic is really so complicated. But I feel like in a world where Sasuke has tunnel vision for power and revenge, none of his relationships are a priority. I think his relationship with Naruto and Sakura is one sided in the sense that they aren't willing to go to the same lengths for each other, further allowing him to grow stronger with no strings, at least in his mind.

People have already told this, but you guys skipped some canon content. Episodes 176 to 181 are tagged as "filler" on some lists but they all include pretty important canon scenes from chapters 450-451. Including the emergency meeting that led to chose between Kakashi and Danzo as the 6th Hokage. Edit : I don't know which filler list you are using, but before skipping fillers you should always check if they cover a manga chapter, it is usually mentioned if you click on the episode title in the list. That would mean there is a canon part at some point during the episode.

He doesn’t have all the answers on how to do that. Him getting beat up and taking the hatred on himself is him doing his best right now. They definitely got somewhat of a trauma bond. A relationship like that wouldn't translate well in real life at all. There's probably some couples or friendships like that, obviously not as dramatic, but same idea. But I get it, Naruto consider's him to be his first real bestie (though I'd like to make an argument for Shikamaru just saying). But him wanting to "save" Sasuke does make sense for the type of guy that he is.

Okay I'll explain to make sure that you know everything you guys missed in the brief appearance in the filler episode. So during the pain fight Tsunade was CONSTANTLY supplying Kastuyu with all of her chakra and and also keeping a real time update on everyone in the leaf village. She basically used ALL of her chakra and as we know from Kakashi training Sasuke so long ago that if you use all your chakra you could die worst case scenario, so she ended up in a Coma. As for why she wasn't revived when Nagato used his Rinnegan to resurrect the dead villagers, he specifically returned their souls to heir bodies to resurrect them. That means that he didn't heal them just simply returned the soul to it's vessel so that couldn't heal Tsunade because her soul was inside her vessel already. Right as Naruto begins fighting Pain Sakura holds Tsunade's hand as she passes out from chakra loss thanking her for her hard work. Also, FUCK Danzo. Kill his ass.

Also, like how Naruto said how can he become hokage if he can’t even save a friend, it’s also necessary for him to save Sasuke from the darkness in order to achieve world peace. Similar to that question he asks himself, how can he achieve world peace if he can’t even save a friend. A lot of ppl thought Naruto was stupid when he willingly got beat up but they need to realise it’s a part of his development. Naruto made the promise that even though he doesn’t know the definite way, he will somehow achieve world peace. That scene is an example. He’s learning and searching for the answer to attain world peace. The answer will not arrive straight away

Also yeah, Tsunade was completely spent after saving everyone from the villages destruction via Pains Shinra Tensei. She was on the verge of death due to a severe case of chakra exhaustion. Regarding Tsunade, remember chakra pretty much means life force in Naruto, if you use it all that's it for you, Kakashi literally died because he use it all with his Mangekyo, Tsunade protected as many people as she could with her chakra, so her being in a coma is just a result of almost draining it all. I think most of the time we don't see the importance of chakra because Naruto has pretty much unlimited amounts and he can spam every technique, but most ninjas have a limit

As a few people mentioned, you've skipped about 5 episodes that have some cannon. The bad thing is it's only like a minute or so in each episode. https://www.animefillerguide.com/2019/06/naruto-shippuden-filler-list.html this link provides a breakdown of crunchyroll timings showing which minutes to watch. Might be a good idea to cross reference your filler list with this, and maybe you can watch the canon parts of episodes that only have a small amount of canon off camera, without needing to react to it to make the edit easier.

It's annoying but basically Danzo is the next most senior member the leaf. Kakashi is part of the next generation alongside people like Inoshikacho trio they would only consider them if an election was held. It's the fact that Danzo has put up his hand every election but was out voted and out reasoned each time. Only very few ninja know how shady Danzo is. Which makes the argument that he shouldn't be Hokage is hard to prove. The only people who know about Danzo is Shikaku, Tsunade, Guy (not as clueless as he's made out to seem) and Kakashi. IIRC, Tsunade is the only one who knows the depth of how shady Danzo is. Kakashi knows but never pinpoints an example, it's mostly based on judgement of character and mannerisms. Let's not forget as well, some jonins don't want to be Hokage. Shikaku has never put up his hand for example and another point being that he is more of a "specialist" ninja than an overall capable ninja like the Hokage is expected to be. Sorry for the long explanation. There's more depth to deciding who Hokage is but that is the shortest way to explain it.

Clarification: Gedo Statue is the statue that Nagato summoned to kill Hanzo after Yahiko die, not the one where he brings people back to life no that one is called "Gedo Art of Rinne Rebirth" jutsu or just "Rinne Rebirth" for short, also Gedo statue is the same statue that was used to seal the tail beasts out of the jinjurikies, appearance wise at least.

The Gedo Statue is the statue they use to pull Tailed Beasts from Jinchurukis. Remember the statue with all the eyes that was draining Gaara. It is the same statue that Nagato summoned after Yahiko died, that ended up putting all the rods in Nagatos back. The Rinnegan has many abilities. The abilities all belong to Nagato. He split the powers between 6 individuals(6 Paths). This keeps anonymity, and allows for more pressure in a battle as there are more bodies to deal with. 1. Animal Path- Animal summons. 2. Asura Path- Body manipulation with weaponry/ballistics. 3. Preta Path- Chakra absorption. 4. Human Path- Mind reading/taking someone's soul. 5. Deva Path- The MAIN Pain used from Yahikos body- Gravity Manipulation. 6. Naraka Path- Interrogation/Control over death. This is the path that used the giant head with purple flames, called King Of Hell. The one that would draw the tongues out of victims to see if they were lying, and was able to bring the killed Paths back as good as new. But all these powers are Nagatos. As well as Rinne Rebirth which he used to bring the villagers back from the dead. Hope this helps, I know it is a lot.

Filler is everything that doesn't happen in the Manga. As far as I remember, the Manga also just shows Danzo already being Hokage, like in this episode. The audience is trusted to be able to assume that he got elected. So by this definition, danzo getting elected to be hokage in the fillers, is filler.

The Gedo Statue was the statue that Nagato summoned when Yahiko died. This statue was also the reason why Nagato looked so gaunt and was in this device because it weakened him so much. And the Gedo statue is also the statue that Akatsuki uses to pull the Tailed Beasts out of the Jinchuriki. And Tsunade is in a coma because she used up all her chakra saving and healing all the villagers from Pain's attack. Towards the end of Naruto and Pain's fight, it was also shown how Tsunade suddenly aged and looked more like a woman of her age; Sakura had also said that Tsunade had used too much chakra. So it has nothing to do with Danzo that Tsunade is in a coma.

No idea why but my filler list is different from EVERY other list online. In 179 there is a VERY important scene where Danzo is selected as the 6th Hokage by the Feudal Lord. Maybe it wasn't in the manga, but the anime just drops Danzo as Hokage in a weird way in 197 if you skip 179.

Short answer to that Danzo question. Political maneuvering, the man has been doing it for a long time. He's the age where he was contemporaries with the Third and the two elders we've seen before, and they have a lot of sway in the village as to who gets named Hokage, as seen when they tried to make Jiraiya Hokage after the Thirds death. It's to be assumed that the Lord of the Land of Fire also has a say on the quickness of a Hokage selection and if one is needed under certain circumstances i.e. Tsunade being in a coma. I could go into excruciating detail on this but I will leave it at that for now.

Quite irrelevant now that they've watched 187-198 but it shows that zetsu watched Pain's defeat, and that the three Hidden cloud ninjas are on their way to the Hidden Leaf. - Episode 178 - from 18:00 to the end. Sasuke healed, they are ready to leave for the Hidden Leaf. Zetsu meets with Madara and Kisame and tell them that Pain is dead. They are talking about finding another pawn to synchronise with the Gedo Statue since Nagato and Konan left two vacant spots. Madara sends Kisame to look for Killer Bee. Yamato arrived arrived at the Hidden Leaf and runs Into Shikaku, who tells him what happened. Shikaku is called to attend the "next hokage council". That one is important for the madara/kisame/zetsu part, to avoid confusion later on.

Not exactly true @nompfer, the manga does not show Danzo already being Hokage. Those missed parts are indeed in the manga, chapters 450 and 451, thus they are not fillers. (madara, kisame and zetsu discussing Pain's defeat and sending Kisame to look for Killer Bee. And the emeergency Council that decided who would replace Tsunade between Kakashi and Danzo.)

Danzo is kinda doing his own thing from the Shadows to manipulate and force the village into submission. That’s why he chose to let pain destroy the village. He’s also a village elder. A village constantly electing a new Kage shows no sign of stability and to unallied villages an opportunity to invade. The Leaf at this point have gone through nearly 3 Hokage in the span of 5 years.

It is called the Gedo art of Rinne REBIRTH. If your soul hasnt left your body, it wont affect you. 3. Everything surrounding Tsunade will be explained. Tsunade used her seal to protect the entire village from Pain's attack. He was exhausted of her chakra supply to where she couldn't even retain her young image anymore. The toll on her body by expending that much chakra is what put her in a coma Nagato's Rinne Tensei only brought back those who were killed. It didn't heal everyone else

You guys may have forgotten that Tsunade has been healing everyone from slightly injured to near death from since the start of the attack by Pain. Healing someone gravely injured takes a lot of Chakra of a normal person. Can you imagine Tsunade is healing almost every single person in the village all by herself using her own Chakra which is also her life-force. It definitely took a tow on her body and she fell unconscious. Okay I have to defend Sakura again. She may be strong but she is just physically strong and not exactly fast. She beat Sasori only because of Grandma Chiyo there to lead the fight. She is almost equivalent to other side character ninja but physically stronger. But I do feel they did nerve Sakura and make her look pathetically weak many times in the show. And she is always with Naruto whose growth has been so fast and make her look useless. She is more of a medical ninja, a healer in a party. She is a healer who can also fight and defend herself a bit but is not exactly a full on fighter like a melee, tanker or assassin. And this 2 ninjas from the Cloud village are considered direct subordinates of the Raikage and their master is Killer Bee(the Raikage's brother) so they should be strong, not to Naruto's level but maybe stronger than Sakura.
