One fun fact to take notice on is when Fern and Stark stumbled upon Richter, and he asked if Fern was Frierens student, Fern refused to acknowledge it due to being mad at her at the time. But after fixing her staff and coaching her before facing Serie, Fern was able to proudly say she was Frierens student.

So Lernen can't make out that Serie is concealing her mana and he thought Frieren and Serie had equal mana. So basically Concealed Serie mana = Full Frieren Mana. From here u can make out how much more powerful Serie really is.
