In the next update you will meet Raymond! 

Raymond is a space-miner that has been recovering on board the Green Beetle. During that time Raymond quickly became friends with Keen; and now that he is leaving the ship again, he has a special gift for Keen...


What you see here is a small animation I put together for promotion purposes. As you can see, is not very fluent... but that's because  in the game itself, there are always pauses between 2 expressions. And the images only change after you click through the text. 

Raymond will only appear in one scene for now. And for that scene he has 7 facial expressions, and 3 different body-poses.  I hope I can reuse him again later on in the story, maybe as part of a mini game :)

For some one with a big figure, he looks really well-drawn. Heck I'd even argue his lip and dimple facial expression are the best drawn out of all the other characters (2nd to Keen)

Thanks John :) Over time I get more confident with my drawing style, I think that's part of what you see here. I also feel that I'm better at drawing guys, especially if they are a bit goofy. It's just easier then drawing pretty girls... less pressure perhaps?

2021-07-07 18:32:30 Haha, yeah, he looks a bit like Wario for sure :) Actually he didn't start out like this, but as I made more & more adjustments he started to look more & more like Wario. I guess that's the power Wario holds over me! ... I just hope I can prevent that other characters will transform into Warios as well :}
