Life Update (Patreon)

Good morning, friends.

I'm sure this isn't the update you were expecting nor the one I ever wanted to write.  Some of you already know by now, but I had to say goodbye to my dog, Violet, last weekend.  It was unexpected - I actually thought she seemed the healthiest she'd been in years until suddenly she wasn't.

Those of you who've ever lost a pet or someone close to you know that this is a horrible experience, so it probably won't be a surprise that I'll be taking a writing break for a little while.  Maybe I'll get back into it eventually, but right now I'm not feeling well enough to commit to posting every week.  It's especially difficult with how connected Violet is to my writing - I dreamed up many stories while taking her on long walks, and she would sleep on my lap whenever I sat down to write.

I'll  be back eventually to post the stories I've already finished - there's some great White Rose that I know everyone will want - but I'm not sure what happens beyond that yet.  Things will get easier, I know, but I'm not at the point where I even want to move on.

Patreon lets me pause everything for a month at a time, which I'll do as soon as I post this.  Please message me if you want a refund or have concerns, but all billing should basically skip a month.  At that point, I'll either return or maybe pause for another month...we'll see how things go, I guess.  If you're on an annual membership, a month should be added to your end date.

I'm sorry for any hassle or inconvenience.  I've been really proud of posting consistently for...6 years now?  But life has a way of...getting in the way sometimes.  I appreciate all of your support though, for everything.
