Ken Miles was from Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, in the UK, and Bale does a decent attempt at the very distinctive Brummie accent. He doesn't quite get it, but it's a good attempt. Birmingham is the second city in the UK, is home to Cadburys chocolate, and was the centre of manufacturing in the UK for centuries (it became known as the city of thousand trades), particularly cars and (still to this day) jewellery. It's also home to the greatest football team in the world, Aston Villa, and Miles son wears a Villa shirt during the Le Mans race, as a nod to his son being a fan in real life.

A biopic is going to mostly focus on 1 person and will be true to what happened. This movie is based on a true event and is mostly right but it does do some Hollywood stuff too
